tell me how to search for it on this forum...... I already know about the ships.......I am trying to get you to understand why there are multiple threads on ANY subject

Put "where is my arp kongo ship"  into the search function......not that unreasonable that anyone would type this and walla fail search

not our fault wargaming has bad search function on their forum

Sorry but I agree that the search function in the forums is lacking.  Just my experience.

But I do have a question that I can't find the answer to either here or via a Google search:

Is the ARP Kongo etc. a crew trainer in the normal sense that I could put, say my Fuso Commander in it, or is the Commander that came with the ARP Kongo the ONLY Commander it can have?

I ask cause I can't appear to use a "regular" Commander in it.

Yes, yes, yes, I'm sure there are 68 other threads on this topic and I'm sure I'm a total moron but could someone please just help me with this question?

Many searches fail because too many terms were used. "ARP Kongo commander training" is not likely to get a hit, while trying "ARP Kongo" or "ARP Kongo Commander" might. (If that didn't get any usable hits, try captain instead.) Also (not to be putting anyone down), spelling is very important. Aside from ship names, if any of the words in your search have a red underline, the search usually won't work (unlike Google).

The ARP ships are not the same as premium ships.  You can't sell them and you can't use other captains in them.

I see a possibility of recruiting? Has any person done this? I found a few more ARP on the WIKI page for Battleships  i.e. Kirishima, Haruna, Hiei

Actually, according to the ARP FAQ (per Niko), you can train captains in them, but only other ARP captains.  There is an intention to add more ARP ships in the future, and ARP works like a nationality for captains.  These ships do not get any XP or credit bonuses as far as anyone can tell.  I hope that this helps. :)

I got the ARP Kongo.  What a letdown!

1.  Not particularly fond of the Yokosuka port, but I can live with that.

2.  The camo artwork is an awful eyesore.  Wish I could make that ship look like any other.

3.  The words in Japanese tell me absolutely NOTHING.  Just a bunch of annoying noise.  In one of the

forums somebody mentioned  that can be changed by "renaming the ARP sound file".  Great!!  How the hell

      do I do that??

So- In the meantime, I am stuck with any seriously ugly ship that gives me no useful warnings.  It does tell my

opposition that I got the ARP ship.   Not so sure that is helpful.

Let me be clear-  I enjoyed the challenge of getting the ship, but, THANK GOD I did not pay for it.  If I had paid

for this ship I would have been furious.   So- I do not play the ARP Kongo.   (sad)

You folks need to think more about your CUSTOMERS.    Most of us speak English.  Probably do not speak

Japanese.  How could anybody be so obtuse as to think Japanese warnings would be useful?   And the artwork

on the camo is just awful!    I bought the permanent camo for my Cleveland and it looks as if Santa Claus

puked all over it!.    I wonder if the same BOZO did the artwork on both ships.  A little bit of research on Naval camo

would have made a huge difference.  (it wouldn't have to be perfect)

It's a free ship, and I enjoyed doing the mission to get mine. I sailed it several times, but since my regular Kongo is better, I no longer do. However, I'm not going to whine about getting my free ship.

Furthermore, if you don't like the camo or the Japanese, all I can say is you weren't the target audience for this ship.

Hey this was a mission, not a requirement...  These ships are unique to the anime series they come from.  If you want a regular Kongo or Myoko, go get one.  Some of us like the unique ships for rewards.  I know how to fix this problem of yours.  Two options; One: dont play them or use the port, or Two: get the real ships.
