The payment didn't go through, I didn't get the doubloons, and WG didn't get the money. So before I prepare a rant on this, is there something I don't know? Every payment initialized costs money. Usually, this fee is set by the processor (PayPal, Amazon Payments, etc), and is charged to the merchant (WarGaming). Now, when you initialize a chargeback, WarGaming just got charged two fees and saw none of the money. Now, imagine people doing this constantly. WarGaming would lose lots of money. So to mitigate it happening, WarGaming takes action against accounts that initialize chargebacks, usually by banning them temporarily or permanently. There's a lot more to it, but this is the general reasoning.

Had a ban once at another game company when I asked for a chargeback cause I made a new acc cause of a major update and stopped with playing on 2 but didnt cancel it on time. (actually they charged it back to me when I asked for it). Result was system treated it as a regular chargeback and banned me, got unbanned rightly after cause it wasnt a fraudulent chargeback. Companies gotta protect themselves. Also ive heard something regarding paypal, they might give a penalty to a company if to many chargebacks happen. Not sure if thats true. tl;dr legal issues for the company.
