Short and curlies are: Someone linked me to the WoWS China website and their "anime" version when I found these interesting Kancolle inspired avatars: Now I can not read Chinese at all, but I thought it would be fun to guess what ships these girls are representing. My guess would be: Battleship- North Carolina Carrier: no idea- she doesnt really look like one of the in game carriers Cruiser- Cleveland? Destroyer- confirmed Shimakaze What are your guesses? I was thinking cruiser or battleship mounted catapults. Those would need to be pretty beefy to hold something like a PBY.

The planking looks different than what's in game because the blue colored deck was of a more recent refit before the war. It had brown planking before that and I think at least the Saratoga used yellow lines.
67 [HARU] Highblooded Beta Testers 117 posts 6,512 battles Report post #17 Posted January 15, 2016 The IJN Akitsushima was a seaplane tender that could 'handle' the 4 engine H8K(much bigger than a PBY) but no ship could catapult them. Yorktowns had a similar structure, but there were only 3 stacks built into it IIRC.

The Lexington class stack housing was more of a separate entity to the island.

It's definitely one of the later USN BBs though, with that three gun turret. 2nd Girl: The Lexington actually had 8 inch guns. The guns were in turrets similar to the Pensacola's. The 8 inch guns were where the 5 inch gun turrets are now around the island and smoke stacks. 3rd Girl: Going off of just the turrets, I'm going to guess Des Moines. 4th Girl: Either that's the Gearing, or Shimakaze decided to defect to the USN.
