Just some friendly sugguestions on game play

So i've been playing my MK off an on when i can lately, but i've finding it really hard to deal any real dmg an i mean i'm bringing home like 30k a game more or less an thats really pathetic an useless to my teamates. So any kind of helpful advice? I've been playing it at near max range 17-19.1 spamming HE, but it's really only knocking mods our rather than doing dmg or fires. An when i say dmg 1000 or so per salvo, and going into the 8-12km can be very dangerous if not deadly due to the nature of the ship(tho it can really pay off). So with the experiences you've all had what would you do yourselves? To be honest i really hate not being a better support for the team. Tho i do enjoy the ship it can be painful

Mine seems to go 50/50. The game either gives me a fire every few shots or I play the game sweeping the AA from the deck and scratching the paint. Depending on the situation and what enemy ships are near, I sometimes push up to thwart off DD's. If you can get close enough to a CA (Usually have luck 7km or less) you can sling AP into it and have a citadel party from the side. Most cases I roll with the BB's and just spam the HE at whatever they are shooting at.

Well i can share you a little advice..The MK is not meant to yolo..You can see The MK shine when you are escorting a Tirpitz or any kind of battleship players that doesnt camp behind cover and snipe..The MK has very good AA..im kinda wondering ..and waiting for CV drivers to cry and ask to nerf the MK AA.

 

You will have fun if you are in a division with some friends and call targets..I love this ship i make a lot of credits on it..400K - 500K when i have a good game escorting BB's..My set up for my Capt. AFT and Demo Expert and additional AA range.

Edit : I forgot always use HE above 13km and AP below..You'll see how strong she punch!

That HE/AP ranged suggestion is nice, saves me experimenting on broadsides on different ships in training.

AP/HE shell selection by situation is very important for this cruiser, and this is how I think the cruiser in WoWs should be concieved and played.  WG nailed it here.  If you get that good shell selection going, you're going to get good results with this ship.

 

Generally, in my opinion, WG made conceptual mistakes in the cruiser lines, so that as a result, people tend to leave either HE or AP set on all the time.  Meaning, its not worth playing AP on this cruiser, and its not worth playing HE on that cruiser.  

 

The strong AA gives the ship a strong escort importance, just like cruisers should be.
