Why is everyone screaming about you can't outturn torpedoes?

Last time I checked it is a lot harder to outturn a well aimed shell salvo, so as long as it is impossible to escape shells it should be impossible to escape torpedoes.

it all depends on what ship you are sailing.

 

For Destroyers and cruisers- both are easy to avoid- given a certain distance for you to be able to make your maneuvers

 

For a Battleship, its damn hard to avoid either in close range- often your best bet is to angle to minimize damage than avoid the shot altogether

 

carriers may be in the same category as battleships, but that class is inherently broken and deserves all the nearly unavoidable firepower coming its way

IJN CV's have it easy we just out run things and use our stealth tech. You can't shoot what you can't find.

Honestly I don't see the problem, you aren't supposed to turn away and get bracketed, you're supposed to turn toward, let them run PAST you much much faster and continue on your way, complaining you can't outrun them just shows you (general you, not to a specific person) suck at the game.

Yeah but the wreckage clogs your aa weapons.

I had a torp plane dump on my kiev and with boost I clearly outran them. It was weird to pull away from torps.
