So I played the Mikhail Kutuzov during public test. I was undecided on the ship, it seemed  to have great range but poor shell velocity during my sessions. So for those who have the Kutuzov, is it worth the asking price? How does it stack up against the Atago and what is the play style of it?

:sceptic:To be honest bud..im still wondering why Kutuzov players pop smoke and hide inside it and fire there guns like dd's..well ive been torping and sunking those ships since yesterday by doing that...

But hes AA is strong unlike the Atago..in my opinion i still want them both for safe keeping...

I got it just because I am a hoarder of ships. In all, I prefer it over the Atago (never have gotten into the IJN ships, I need to start again though now that I am a bit more seasoned). In all, it lacks the punch of the Atago but it makes up for it in ROF. With AFT you're looking at 19.1km range, but it has the better shell velocity compared to the Cleveland so it is actually viable.

AA is much better than the Atago

Try using AP shells. It should have an amazing high velocity.

AP at close range (I start using it against other CA's at about 7km) will throw a citadel party. Only a bit over 3k max damage but with 12 guns firing, I think the most I have had in one salvo was 7-8 Citadels. That is some hurt

How is its citadel? Can it take a hit or do you need to play passive with it? With 19km I can assume you can just fire away without little worry about getting hit if you are switching speeds.

You definitely need to play it cautious, it isn't as bad as the Atago but it is still a cruiser lol. I have had hits from the stern that hit cit and taken a broadside that all overpen'd. I don't have enough time in her to make a clear judgement. Yeah, she is a pain to hit if she is maneuvering and altering speed. She can take some hits but turrets taking a solid BB shell will decimate them (Only had happen in one game thus far). Plus I am not sure by fluke or design I was angled bow on to a Colorado at 14km and was bouncing his shells... may have been bad aim on his part but it did give me a trollish warm and fuzzy inside
