How do I get on the team that...

...tries to kill dds?

 

Seriously, this is the situation I find myself in constantly:

 

The enemy dd and I spot each other at the same time.  Every player on his team within range fires everything they have at me, and keeps doing so even if I go unspotted.  Meanwhile NOBODY on my team bothers to take a single shot at him.

Stay back until the team is fully engaged. Its boring and it sucks but it keeps you from being focused on

Your team must all have the ARP Myoko already.

Late game DD's are glorious, just fill in the ranks early game, and then when there are gaps in the enemy defenses you can either continue to live and be a real menace late game, or push your luck and blitz their more vulnerable ships, sometimes forcing the enemy to come back to clear you.

I actually had a team call me a coward while I was on the Trap map heading for C. I first ran into an Atago at 9km, no issues, suddenly 2 clevelands, 3 farraguts and a Mahan also appear. So what do I do?  Drop smoke and run like hell in my Sims. And another player said I was a coward.

 

Damn right I ran away from a 6v1 encounter.  Called I wanted to remain in the match.
