Dear mates: please support us who have tendon, wrist, or nerve problems to vote [yes] for better and more control settings

thanks

Do you think a [ full salvo] key will make us play the game easier?

Weapon firing needs to allow for binding keys as well as having the mouse buttons

I found some people, even many people have the tendon, wrist, hand problem.

less double click would be better for our hands, fingers, and we can play longer

I feel I can not play long if so many double click.

could you please let us define the key :

maybe we can define:

LMB: fire

RMB: full salvo = or even space key (press space key to shoot in many games)

or else

mates: please support us who have tendon, wrist, or nerve problems to vote [yes] for better control settings

thanks

I just click the left mouse button firmly to make a full salvo appear. No need for another keyboard button imho.

MOE:

I use a mouse all day at work, and have developed some tendon issues that limit my game time. A few less double clicks would make my life a bit better.

I never even knew one could make a full salvo appear by double clicking.:hiding: I just wait for my guns to all reload, click once and boom, full salvo. Or I can tap the mouse button briskly to make individual turrets fire.

How...? I click once, one gun fires. Tap my mouse button briskly (twice), and I get off a full salvo. How it's always been for me.

Dunno how it works for you. But I tap my mouse button very very quickly (maybe something like 0.1 second) to make each turret fire, or I press once more firmly (something like 0.3 seconds maybe) to fire a full salvo, or I hold the button down for sequential fire.

Firm click is the way to go.  It's hard for me to single turret fire since I'm too used to firm clicking.

And if you can't click much, you can always play BB :V

Sounds like you have some sort of pressure-sensitive mouse that's set for a firm press to equate to a double click?  Didn't know those existed, but wouldn't be surprised.  If so, perhaps something like that would help with the OP's tendon issues in more than just this game?

It wouldn't hurt if they did add the option of a single-press salvo key for those whom it would benefit.

I have a similar issue. As PhD candidate I spend a great deal of my time at work writing (and then editing student papers when I am not doing that). I had developed wrist pain and was about to give up gaming for a while (at least on the PC) when a friend suggested I try an ergonomic, dedicated gaming peripheral. I tried a bunch and finally settled on the Razer Obrweaver and a bigger (MMO) mouse. Both force a different grip, and with it a different posture, which practically eliminated any discomfort (I since got a similar mouse at work). You can also program virtually any key which gives you a lot of flexibility.

The downside is that it takes a while to get used to and the Orbweaver was not cheap. You can probably find key binding software for your keyboard and mouse and just re-bind a mouse key (or keyboard) to double click. If you can't do that with your setup, there are plenty of affordable mouse and keyboard choices that will allow you to program keys (if you don't want to spend a few hundred $$).

I'm also able to use software to assign a mouse key to "double click". It then sends the double click with a single button.

For some people with wrist issues - it can be

Really? If they are using those stupid mouse pads with wrist support, that will be the problem. Actually those special mouse pads give me pain. Or the relative height between the body and the mouse.

IMO You should consider your entertainment options if wrist issue comes into play. It is like you have skin cancer issue and decide to go sit on the beach sun tanning.

I am a software dev who uses Windows based computers all day with a regular 2 buttons mouse. I go home at night and play on the computer more WoWS or other stuff. So I uses a mouse something like 16 hrs a day and have been doing that for last 16 yrs. I play on computer all the time before that since the late 80s. Never have wrist issue. Not even eye issues as I turn down the brightness and contrast.

OP did you not just about an hour ago post this same question/thread, and go on and on about it??

http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/64187-suggest-full-salvo-setting/page__p__1572851#entry1572851

I mean yeah, it is def a good idea to have a full salvo key but it is also a good idea to not make several posts about the same thing over and over... once is usually enough....
Not trying to be a DB but, filling up the forums with the same post more than once an hour is.,...
I voted no only because there was no Bacon option and, well, as discussed earlier, not needed...
injuries aside.....

I did not know how to express this problem,

so I post suggestion, and some people do have this problem and suggest me to start a poll to draw their attention,

so I start a new thread a poll,

how can we have a good method to tell the game company: some people have the trouble to double click so many times,

thanks

I don't have any wrist issues, but that's because I learned computer desk ergonomics when I started working in call centres and I took those good habits home.

Sadly I am developing an astigmatism in my eyes and it's only going to get worse, but both my parents have astigmatisms so it probably isn't anything that could be helped

does the ship commander even  fire only one single gun of the turret (maybe  2 or 3 guns in the turret) to test the range and angle?

since BB reload time is so long!

even we can define:

LMB: 1 turret fire

CMB: only one gun fire

RMB: full salvo = or even space key (press space key to shoot in many games)

or else
