can we suggest a new key setting:

full salvo

in warship game, we often need full salvo,

so besides [fire] key,  better we have a setting [full salvo] key?

Click once, fire just 1 turret (starting at the lowest number turret that is ready to fire)

Hold down the left mouse button, it "ripple fires", one turret after the other, continuously.

Double click, fires a full salvo.

I know,

but we often need full salvo,

why not a key just set for full salvo,

need not click so many times, and so nervous to click click

so Hold down the left mouse button for a few seconds, all turrets fire 1 by 1 ?

but many ships have 8-10-12 turrets, it takes too long to fire 1 by 1

each turret fires, so, double turrets fire two shots, each turret at a time... three turret guns fire three shells each, one turret at a time....

the "ripple firing" is called sequential fire

indeed. From what I have read and seen, the term "ripple fire" actually means firing one turret at a time with a click, pause click, pause, etc....

I use it on the benson from time to time, to get the timing for the firing sequence to have no pause when getting it timed for sequential fire..

no, when we use computer, we need often click click 20 times per minute?

I am thinking there is a misunderstanding or some sort of language barrier here....
And the Double click is most commonly used in most computer applications, IE, Opening a desktop Icon, which is used often....
I think the point has been made for you to know what does what to fire what you want to fire....
Having a button for it would be "convenient" although a test fire for range is often needed so as not to waste an entire [edited]salvo only to miss and have to wait 30 seconds.....
capisci?

Click = 1 turret fires

Double click = all turrets fire in salvo

Hold click = each turret fires in sequence after each other

@ ibib,

I haven't considered you might be handicapped or something, and if you are, I apologize for being snarky.

Here is a thread that was started in the Suggestions forum about allowing keybinds for firing.  It hasn't gotten much response yet, but you might want to add your thoughts there and bump the thread.

Ah yes, that might explain the "nervous" mention.... I feel the same way, if that is the case..

Good thread on that too..

maybe we can define:

LMB: fire

RMB: full salvo = or even space key (press space key to shoot in many games)

I use a mouse all day at work, and have developed some tendon issues that limit my game time. A few less double clicks would make my life a bit better.

This is not a bad suggestions and could be implemented by a toggle.

I suggest make a poll so the devs can see this. They have stated recently that polls are the best way to get their attention on added features.

I 95% of the time use full salvo fire. I am lazy and double clicking is just TOO much effort. Therefore I made a macro :)
