Captain Reserve Spots

I was just wondering how many reserve spots you now have after the last patch. I had 12 (6 Japan/US each) and now I have 8 total to share amongst the whole.

You sure you don't have crews in there?  If you sell a ship and don't want to keep the crew to retrain, you have to manually select to dismiss him.

Reserve slots are shared amongst All nations. If you had 6 each it is likely you had Russian/German captains in reserve that were hidden.

How can I get  at least 1 reserve captain spot for Russian ships for the basic game.  Right now I have only the 8 basic ship spots I started with.  There are 3 reserve spots for the US ships and 2 reserve spots for the German ships and none for the 1 Russian ship. How can I get at least 1 Russian reserve captain spot for FREE.?  Thts my question. Thank you  USSCamdenAOE2
