New CV driver - planes won't respond

Hi all, I'm hoping I'm just overlooking something but out of about 6-7 matches in my CV yesterday, twice I found myself unable to command my planes after their initial deployment.  If I selected them, any place I wanted to put my cursor for a waypoint (including sending the plane to escort a friendly or attack an enemy) had circle with a cross through it and it would not respond.  I was finally able to figure out that if I sent them back to the place to land, it was fixed when they took off again.  What did I do wrong and how can I avoid this happening again?  Thanks, Kos

Hey. I don't know why it does that but I know how to fix it each time.

 

Press shift (which changes the view of the planes from overhead to 3rd person) to get rid of it and simply press shift again to go back to the overhead view. I just double tap shift each time which solves the problem in like half a second.

Play in Windowed mode (instead of full screen) and see if that fixes the problem.
