Game crashing since 0.5.2 patch

I had no problems before the 0.5.2 patch.

Now, I hit the BATTLE button to start a match. The loading screen comes up and the match starts to load. Then, just as the match is getting ready to start, I hear a (ding sound) and the game crashes.

I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and hit task manager which then gives me a black screen. I have to now use ALT+TAB to cycle to the error message so I can cancel it out which now gives me the (WoWs is not responding box) so I can hit the cancel box in that window to get me out of the crashed game. If I am lucky, I can restart the game and get back into the match before I am sunk. Sometimes I am not so lucky.

The error message I receive will not stay on the screen. I only have the option, while I am holding ALT+TAB, to (X it out to close it) so I cannot post it. However, there is a folder where the game is installed called (CRASHES) and I will post a crash file from there. I hope it makes sense to someone.

This is what is in the crash file:

Application C:/Games/World_of_Warships/worldofwarships.exe crashed 01.06.2016 at 00:57:05

Message:

The crash does not happen on every match but happens enough that I just move on and play something else. Also, if I do get back into the match after a crash, my consumables have no sound effects.

The consumable works but makes no sound when activated. Just something that I observed while playing. I hope all of this helps to find a solution.

Uninstalling and reinstalling was one of the first things I did and it did not help. Also, I am running no mods so that is not in issue. I have even updated DirectX - .NET Framework - Visual C++ and I still crash. I believe it has something to do with the latest patch and was hoping someone could understand something about the crash file I posted. Thanks for the help.

Same here, except it goes even better - my computer resets itself when it crashes. I get into my battles, start playing, and more than half the battles end up with me watching my computer reset just when I was doing well. Was having no troubles before the latest patch.

Specs of rig?

Do you allow your rig to go to sleep, or run energy savings crap?

Multiple monitors/GPU's?

I can give you my specs over and over again but it will not get past the fact that I had no problem playing the game until the 0.5.2 patch - period. I see people all over the forums with the same issue happening at the same time that my problem started. I have multiple friends I play with on a regular basis that are having the exact same issues.

I see you are a SUPERTESTER. I dont know what that means. Can you give me any insight as to what the crash file means that I posted? Anything?

Specs:

Core I7 920 2.6Ghz OC'ed to 3.6Ghz

6GB Ram

EVGA Geforce GTX 760 SC

Windows 10 Home Edition 64-bit

The rig does not go to sleep - no energy saving crap (as you call it) running - just 1 GPU and yes I have a second monitor.

I thought the file I posted would help but I guess not seeing as you made no comment about it. Again, the game was running flawlessly before the 0.5.2 patch. I have made no changes to my computer. Same components and drivers as before the patch. I can try what this guy recommends - what that guy recommends but it all comes down to the game was running fine before the patch. I dont know what else to say.

If you need anything else - let me know - thanks for the help.

Supertesters have access to ships for testing purposes before they are released to the rest of us. Not sure if they test anything else out.

I have the same issue as you, in fact last week I had a crash bad enough to cause a blue screen (which hasn't ever happened on my current setup) and restart. Never had the issue before 5.2 but I also haven't done the one thing that could answer the question, I haven't opened a support ticket.

I'm running an AMD Phenom II Black 955 3.2x4 with 16Gb of RAM, an ASUS GTX 780OC2 on Windows 7, with dual monitors (though I only play with 1).

Hey 4wilds - I have opened a ticket and it has been just about 2 days now with  no response - I know it can take some time so now its just a waiting game - I will post the results of that ticket when received.

I have crashed less than 10 times in all this time, way to long.  About 3 weeks ago maybe, I had that error twice in a day shocked the crapout of me.  I then reinstalled installed C++ and drivers and some other basic diagnostics, trim, clean up and all that fun stuff.  Then haven't had it happen since.  You'll want to make sure your page file is more than 6 gigs, if it's default windows setting for one.  There is a memory leak and if you run memory draining stuff (that browser) it won't help. Multiple monitor is not supported, as I'm sure you know.

Just curious as to why some get that, most don't.

I have uninstalled the game - got rid of all files and folders  that were left behind - used Ccleaner to clean the hard drive and registry - Updated DirectX - .NET Framework - Visual C++.

Reinstalled a clean version of the game - 2nd map in and I crash. Same spot, same error.

I see you say there is a memory leak. Is this something that will be patched? or do I just have to live with the crashes. I am very close to just moving on - I love the game but I can live without it.

Again, thank you for your time. Much appreciated.

This is the response I got from my ticket I sent in to WG:

Hello Cryptler,

Thanks for contacting us.

We'd like a few logs of data before we dive deeper into this issue.

What we'll need from the World of Warships installation folder (default is C:\Games\World_of_Warships):

- WOWsLauncher.cfg
- WOWsLauncher.log
- Python.log

Next, we'll need a DxDiag report to get a better idea of your computer's information.

Here's how to retrieve a DxDiag report:

*If you're running Windows Vista or higher, go to your task bar.

- Click "Start" and click on "Run" (if you do not see the "Run" option, then hold down the "Windows" button your keyboard and press 'R').
- In the pop-up window, enter "DxDiag" and click 'OK.'
- The DirectX Diagnostic Tool pop-up window should appear.
- Navigate towards the bottom right area of this window and click "Save All Information..."
- In this new pop-up window, click "Save" (the file should now be saved to your desktop).
- Exit the DirectX Diagnostic Tool

Once we have the files requested above, we can continue our troubleshooting process.

Best Regards,
Brett Stewart

Exact same error message I get when it crashes .Someone needs to step up and provide a fix fast. I'm glad I'm not alone with this issue. I USED to enjoy playing. My HP laptop is only 1 year old and works just fine for any other games. Not another dime from me until this is fixed!

I have only been able to run WOT in safe mode.  Now WOW is crashing as described above.  Basically, I cannot run WG games.  This is insane.  I have premium accounts on every game (including planes).  I have an Area 51-R2 (2015 build)  with 32 gb ram DDR4 memory; 3x Titan X cards, I7 processor.  All updates are applied and running DX 12.  In other words, No computer problems.  Since update 9.15 in WOT and now update in WoW, I cannot play these games.  I have gamed online since 1996 (WoW, Everquest, BF 1942, etc.).  I have never before seen a patch that has so many problems across so many systems that cannot be fixed or wont be by WG.  I am exhausted at this process.  I love the games, and I hate the patches.
