Ship XP to free XP - How is it calculated?

I'm confused about the exchange rate. How is it calculated?

 

I think it's whatever my ship's XP is divided by 25, and the quotient is the amount of free XP I'll get, but I'm not quite sure.

Convert 100 XP to Free XP costs you 4 doubloons and you get 100 Free XP.

What Dakota says.  It costs 1 Gold Doubloon per 25 XP converted, so you can only convert XP in increments of 25, but it is a one for one conversion.  As he said, spend 1 Gold Doubloon, and you transfer 25 XP from ship's XP to 25 Free XP.  2 Gold Doubloons converts 50 ship's XP to 50 Free XP and so on.

No. In the port, there's an option where you can convert ship XP from elite and premium ships into free XP. The part I'm confused about is the exchange rate, the "25 ship XP = 25 free XP" part.

It is that.  25 ship XP converts to 25 Free XP for every 1 Gold Doubloon you spend.

 

 

For example, 5000 ship XP will convert to 5000 free XP for a cost of  5000/25 = 200 Gold Doubloons.  You could convert 5025 ship XP to 5025  for 5025/25 = 201 Gold Doubloons.  However, there is no way to convert 5015 XP because it has to be in increments of 25 XP since the conversion rate is 1 Gold Doubloon per 25 XP converted and there is no smaller monetary denomination.

It's 1:1, you have 10K locked experience on premium warship, you can convert it 1:1 to 10K free exp. Simple.

I'd like to know why they don't let you see a total for all the xp you have from elite ships that can be converted to free xp. If I sell an elite ship and forget how much xp I had on it I have no way of knowing the total amount of xp I could convert without buying doubloons. I usually keep at least 1 doubloon to be able to tell but I converted by accident when I meant to close the window. I think that I have somewhere between 160,000 - 180,000 possible xp that could be converted but unless I buy doubloons I have no way of knowing for sure. Is it really a big ask to know how much total xp I have accumulated?
