Am I cursed by the game?

Yesterday I was playing an Isokaze destroyer in a Co-op battle. I meet the Bot Isokaze , we both miss with torpedos and we start to exchange gun fire. I hit with 1 shot and it hits with 1 shot, mine does minor damage and it's shot destroys my full hit point ship. Today playing a New York battleship I was destroying a Bot New York (it was down to a couple thousand hit points and I was at almost full hit points) when with 1 shot my New York was destroyed! The odds of such an event happening in real life are like 1 in a billion ( I know it happened to the HMS Hood), for it to happen twice in 2 days the devil would be dying from frost bite. I had destroyers get Critical Engine Damage from near misses. In one co-op battle my Alanta received it first hit which caused Main Gun Destroyed, Critical Steering Damage, Critical Engine Damage and Fire. So am I cursed by the game or does this happen to everyone?

Probably just bad luck with the New York, but all DDs get detonated really easily and Atlanta is extremely fragile: even DD AP can citadel her.

Happens to everyone.  Learning about angling will help decrease the frequency of those hits though.

Also, learning about proper ammo choice will help you land more of those hits.

It happens.  I was dodging some torpedoes two days ago in a New Mexico and ended up eating one.  I was planning on killing the DD that launched them, but I ended up getting the Detonation award instead.

I think the game is trying to tell you to stay out of coop and get back into random... ;)

I don't feel so bad after seeing it happen to someone else today in a Co-op battle. I just think that every shot from a Bot should not cause a Critical. If you dodge a shot it should not cause your engine to stop working. I think the Criticals are happening too frequent!
