Roon?!

Ok , just got the Roon after a nightmare Hipper run, i really like the Hipper but the armor , oh good the armor, nether to say last 30k xp ware awful to play do RNG leaving me with AP broadside on other CA under 10k with 2k dmg i feel like i was in the Kongo but i cant tank the dmg

 

Anyway , got the Roon, got some games with it ,first volley was 2 cits on a Balti, 2 kills first game , then just 1 kill per game , my captain is retrained ( captain from the Yorck , keept the Hipper just for his brother PrinzEugen ) and i have all module upgrades including the range extender so i dont really need the 20km range from the FKS module

 

Now , i am 20k away from the Hull, do i get the hull for AA , maneuverability , seconday , hp or the Main battery module for a few sec off my reload and better turning rate and other nonsense?

 

And

How someone plays this thing with one front turret when chasing a battleship? ( yes chasing a bb , a North Cal was runing away and shooting me ) it's fun untill you got to go almost broadside to get the back turrets on target but i got him in the end. How people play the Roon? it's unusual and weird, i know Konigsberg but with that i can yolo and with this i can't , to slow to turn , bad AA, repair bill,

 

And another question that is not related with the Roon

 

The ARP thing , with the extended tree mod i can see Hiei, Kirishima, Haruna etc, but we get just the Kongu ,why?

Always take the gun upgrade.

 

Also you cannot yolo at tier 9. That goes like 10x as much for high tier german cruisers.

The gun upgrades are Hindenburg guns. If you're fine with the guns you can get the upgrade for free by researching the Hindenburger

no, March 1st they will switch the missions when the deadline for the current ones hit. It is planned to go all year.

When I went straight to Hindenburg I basically saved 20K on those. They're really nice guns. I would personally not skip them unless you were to actually skip the Roon but I know some people like to save every bit of XP like I did for carriers <_<

I want a T9 ship cause i dont have one , the Ibuki was semi-random-crap. i am 70k away from the Kagero , and 20k away from the Amagi but the Izumo is crap , i want to keep the Roon cause it seems a decent ships vs balti and ibuki , seems that ill be taking the guns upgrade first then the hull

Roon is probably the best T9 cruiser. It's more durable than Ibuki. AA not as good as Baltimore but guns much better.

30ish stock AA. 48 AA rating with AFT and BFT ,55ish with the Hull upgrade for the Roon.

I managed to get the Ibuki 60ish AA with AFT and BFT

And from all 3 , the Roon has the better guns

 

The only thing that i dont like for the Roon is the torp set , just 1x4 per side , compared with the all ships from the König till the Hipper with 2 x 4 per side but at least i have torps for Yoloing The muricans don't

you will get the 2 extra ones back at hinden, but the roon also has a huge number of secondaries, and german secondaries are pretty beastly.

I noticed that last night when my sec did  8kish dmg to a battleship , i was what the hell? after the game i check the seconday stats and i saw that this has a lot of them and pretty good , A Yamato for cruisers

Hinden is almost replacing zao as my favorite T10 cruiser though, its just beastly until you give someone your broadside at the wrong time

Zao can do the same + invisible fire  with the 10km detection range with modules and stuff ,

i cit a Yamato 3 times with the Zao and 2 times a Iowa ,

 They have almost the same punch but Zao has a slight more armor and much more stealth-ness

 

Hindenburg kinda get concetrated for his 18km detection range

For now , Zao still have the cruiser crown

I want to get the Hindenburg till the Russian bias cruisers will come out with the OP stats ,
