And I return form Haitus to find the  CV play is  even morelobb sided and frustrating than ever...  when my RYUJO isn't blatantly useless because it's out tiered.. and yes... if your at bottom tier in a CV  you're  USELESS  Than I am in a game against Super powered American CV  with Aircraft that just Wreck my entire complement of Aircraft in Seconds...  Than  I have to deal with the fact that this tier  EVERY CRUISER  is immune my Aircraft....as in you can't  attack a  cruiser,at all, because their defensive fire rips up everything.

So what am I left with?  A fighter squadron that's good for NOTHING and Bombers and torpedo craft i can't actually sue because they can't defend them selves against Super powered INDI and Bogue fighters..

Use strafing runs.  99% of AA carrier players don't know what those are, so if you time it right you'll rip their squads to shreds before they have a chance to act.

Having played Ryujo before the update that buffed IJN carriers I can relate; it was frustrating to the point where I bombed myself to end my misery multiple times.  I don't know if you have been using manual drops or not, but if you are then those got much better with the update so trust me when I say it was worse before.

i dont know what loadout you have, but fighter loadout on the Ryujo should rekt Bogue easy.
you should always upgrade your fighter first when you have a new CV, and never go for the full strike loadout.
for ijn i always go for the full fighter loadout, you really need the extra group to deal with usn fighters.

usn i stay stock loadout until T8, since if you go full fighter as usn you will do no dmg, but full strike will leave you with out fighter to portect yourself and teammates.

One of the most important tip i can give you as a T10 ijn cv owner is that NEVER have a fair fight with usn fighters, you will lose 90% of the time.

Always fight over friendly AA and learn to use strafing runs + manual drops.

Yeah... Being at bottom tier on a Ryuujo sucks badly, to the point that 4 squads enter under fire of a single cruiser AA and you lose 3/4 of them.

Complained about it once, got called stuff by team and enemy alike. I'm not even speaking in-game anymore.

Anyways, I wish at least our IJN torpedo bombers had a smaller spread, like the USN Torp Bombers do. 6 Torps so closely tight that usually you hit for 4~5 torps if well aimed. With one squad.

Because of the horrendous spread I can't ever divide my efforts. To sink one ship or to heavily damage it, I need to use both torp squads. It's almost mandatory if the ship is over 50% health. Which makes my torps vulnerable to USN fighters manual barrage.

Um...have you been using manual drops at all?  I almost never miss a single torpedo with those, even when I was in Ryujo before the drop got buffed.

And as others have mentioned on the forum the manual drop converges with distance so if you drop from farther away you have a better chance of landing multiple hits if you lead right.
