entering promo codes

OK, I know where to enter the invite codes, but where do you enter promo codes that work for existing accounts?  I got one from Alienware awhile back and didn't use it yet.  It is not in the 'XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX' format that Wargaming.na uses for the invite codes.  I recall a separate page somewhere but can't find it now ...

Go to the premium shop and click "Redeem Wargaming Code"  It's also accessible through the dropdown menu in the upright left of the forum, across from log out.

So got one of the promo codes, but it had a asterik (*) as the first number on the last segment. Suggestions?
