Which Country Has The Best Destroyers

First off, I just got into this game and I am really enjoying it. I have read many guides, and I think I'm going to g for destroyers. However, these guides seem to have been written when their were only two nations. So now, I ask, which country has the overall best destroyers? I have heard that the American destroyers have fast reloading torpedo tubes, but are slow, and have slightly more effective guns. However, I gather that the guns on a destroyer really do not matter. The IJN I heard are nimble,but with useless guns and slower reload times, and little change in torpedo ranges. However, There was nothing on Soviet destroyers. They seem to have insane amounts of speed but also useless guns, but I don't know how their torpedo system is.

Japanese DD's have great Torpedoes and bad to ok guns

 

USN DD's have good short range guns and good short range Torpedoes

 

Soviet DD's have great lon range guns and crap Torpedoes

Japanese: Stealth Torpedo boats with guns for decoration

American: Fast, shorter range torpedo armament than Japanese but have fast firing guns. Guns have a high shell arc so takes getting used to and they can second as fleet escort with AA capabilities.

Russian: Gun boats. Fast with 130mm guns. Torps aren't long range until you get into the high tiers (and long is compared to the rest of the line).

The US destroyers change characteristics as they go up the tiers. US destroyers are generally seen as the jack of all trades type of ships. Their guns have great traverse and reload, but terrible shell velocities, while the torpedoes are generally acceptable (except for low tier USN torpedoes). Russian destroyers start out much like US destroyers, except their torpedoes are absolutely terrible all the way up the tiers in exchange for better guns (higher damage per shot with slightly worse reload and worse turret traverse). IJN destroyers have terrible reload times and traverse speeds for their guns, but the shells themselves are pretty decent and they have the highest damaging and greatest range for their torpedoes.

Just from my personal learning experience, I would offer this advice: Start off with the IJN line where it's easier to learn (and practice) stealth. When you feel comfortable with this, it's easier to switch to USN and, to a degree, Russian DD's.
