I stopped checking here and instead check reddit; there's players from all server clusters there, so news that gets posted elsewhere (in this case RU got the announcement first) is cross-posted to reddit. Not really; with only 7 to a side on the same maps, destroyers are much easier to hide and wreck stuff. I ranked out in Atago, and the buff to heal it got (the only Tier 8 cruiser on NA with it!) will only make it better. I have Atago, and since the last Session I upgraded, so I now have Benson, Fubuki, and Mogami (the specials on XP wins, and long weekends the last two weeks of the year really helped). Expect a fair number of Dreadnought rewards. The only issue with the Atago is - she's only as strong as your team is competent. It's not a hard carry ship unless you get isolated targets - even multiples if you're good enough. If your BBs falter badly then it's unlikely you'll be able to pick up the pieces. She wrecks DDs and is very sneaky when engaging other CA - surprising them at almost guaranteed optimal CIT range. The most important thing to keep in mind about this ship - the Torp arc is terrible. 2 are for forward approaches and 2 are for flight. When confronted with a close-range BB - I've made the error a number of times trying to make that blessedly difficult and dangerous turn to launch both port or starboard tubes and been punished for it - as well as telegraphed my move. You can zig-zag and lauch both front or both rear without making it so obvious as well as not showing tons of broadside. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Good find on the prizes. Disappointing to see there's no flag like the Kure flag. And that the rank 1 flag is again a Pirate flag. I don't think I am going to participate this season, other than the boat load of flags and 13 million credits. I see no real need to go thru that [edited]pain again.
