I was thinking that if there never was a serious change to it, (armor, armament, etc) it might be cool to have it as Milwaukee. Not so much being able to switch it whenever you want, but having the option when you first get it. Or have the Milwaukee as a separate premium. I would like to see it as an option since the Marblehead is no longer available. From what I've gathered, it was only Murmansk for about 5 years while it was Milwaukee for 22 years prior to the loan. Id rather have another type of ship rather than adding another Omaha class (and in this case it would be the same ship twice). Don't get me wrong! i love the Marbelhead and think that class really rocks... but i'm up for variety. Edited January 5, 2016 by lrdgrd

There were no changes as far as I recall but at least saw a better fate than Royal Sovereign(well sort of).

However, this is different between the two ships in game as the Omaha retains its original configuration. The Murmansk patroled the North Cape/Arctic supply run area which was subjected to constant air attack. So perhaps thats why WG decided to draw the line of distiction. Does the Marblehead have its lower aft guns still? I dont know much about it.

Since the Marblehead isn't available anymore, I figured it might be easy to implement the Milwaukee if Murmansk had not changed the configuration much. Since Murmansk was used as Steelreserv said though, I can understand why they used it that way in the game. I would still like to see another mid tier premium introduced. The Marblehead is great, but it would be nice to keep it a rare ship.

Lots of new premium potential.USS Cincinnati (CL-6) USS Raleigh (CL-7) USS Detroit (CL-8) USS Richmond (CL-9) USS Concord (CL-10) USS Trenton (CL-11) USS Memphis (CL-13)
385 steelreserv27 Members 1,049 posts 2,585 battles Report post #8 Posted January 6, 2016 I was working on a Murmansk video for my youtube channel. This thread inspired me to finish and upload it. Its part of my relatively new "History & Combat" series that I'm working on. In it, I discuss the Murmansk, the USS Milwaukee and compare the Murmansk it to the Omaha. Its Episode 4 of the WoWs series and to be honest 1-3 were pretty basic, but this Murmansk vid is closer to what Im trying to achieve with the series. hope you enjoy.
