When I loaded into this game, I thought that this was going to be a horribly one-sided game for the enemy. The enemy had two Yamatos and one Iowa against just one Iowa and two North Carolinas (plus Tirpitz) on our side. However, this game ended up as being quite the upset.

Map was Northern Lights, and we were at the northern spawn. I was on the east, accompanied by our Iowa. Surely enough, one of the Yamatos spawned directly opposite of the channel at C, but it made its way westward, while the four of us in the east pushed C (Iowa, Gearing, me in my Hipper, and a fourth ship that I do not remember). The Iowa pulled a very daring move to capture C, and was ambushed by a Tashkent, but the Tashkent never launched torpedoes as it was quickly vaporized by the Iowa's main battery, in addition to my own main battery and the Gearing's. I noticed that there was an enemy New Orleans going all the way around east to capture D, so I cut northeast behind C to intercept it. On my way, I managed to deal some 20k damage to the enemy Roon, one volley with a citadel hit and one volley for 10k penetration damage.

I swung around the islands and shortly after began fighting the New Orleans, which turned to run and gave me the upper hand due to its turret arrangement. Still, it was a good chase, they stood well angled most of the time, and I had to stay angled myself and just use my four guns in front half of the time, since they had the health advantage initially. I swung back around south to rejoin the Iowa which had pushed through C and just dealt the final blow to the enemy Roon.

I look back at the minimap to see what was going out west, and lo and behold, my team managed to sink the majority of the enemy fleet! We had a definite numbers advantage, and I was just about to connect with my team's Iowa to provide hydro support against the enemy Fletcher, when I intercepted the Fletcher's torpedoes that were meant for the Iowa. It took only one to finish off my 12k health. I wasn't too excited about that, but the game overall is what made it a good game.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, our Shimakaze was absent, for most of the game. Don't know what it did to get the points in the end, so we were effectively playing one player down for the majority of the game.

Looked at your team lists and thought eww.  Then looked at your second team list and thought wow.  Did you by any chance get the replay as it would be a fun game to watch.

No, I don't sadly. Never have been bothered enough to enable replays. :(

You would be surprised how easy it is to enable replays. Look up Jingle's video on it, he makes it easy.

Yeah, I just did a search through the forums and found a post from one of the devs explaining how to do it. But thanks.

not that uneven in my eyes. They have the BB advantage but those norleans suck.

Still an impressive win. Goes to show the difference of RNG and teamwork.
