They dont seem to like me, or RNG doesnt like me :P

Manual Dive bombed a stationary enemy CV. came form behind lined up perfectly, circle is smaller than the ship so youd expect a 100% hit.

Result: Full miss

Just had a match as a DD.

Enemy CV kept dive bombing the hell out of me 100% hits. No matter how he aproached, no matter if i slowed, speeded up turned or didnt move at all. He just had 100% hits without even adjusting to my movement...

Now can someone explain me how my dive bombers can miss a stationary CV while aproaching from behind so its a nice line up.

And an enemy CV can get 100% hits on a DD no matter what the DD does.

((not a rant, just confused))

Yeah, missing on a well-aimed manual dive drop is frustrating.

I don't really see why dive bombers need to have a "bomb dispersion."  It's asinine, while the torpedo bombers don't have it.  Just give dive bombers a drop pattern like how torpedo bombers have one, and heck, give each nation their own drop pattern to differentiate them.  The US bombers could have a straight line pattern that would reward a well-aimed drop with all bombs hitting.  Something like that.

especially frustrating for the IJN CVs cause they do so much less damage. :(

But... But... That's the max dispersion. Are you suuuurr it completely covered the CV?

RNG trolling at it's finest. I consider it a freaking lottery myself.

Yesterday, I sent 3 waves of dive bombers at a Fubuki.  6 dive bomber squadrons altogether.  Not one of them hit.  And I've got 5 dive bombers per squadron.

In another game, I sent 2 waves at a Konigsberg with like 1k hp.  Same story.  On the next/last pass, I sent the dive bombers to the BB next to him.

100% certain and im not the only one who experienced this before.

I've had the issue plenty of times, typically when trying to bomb a Hiryu. It got to the point where I stopped manual dive bombing it.

I just had a match where I manual dropped on a stationary cruiser, perfectly lined up, no chance of a miss... and 3 bombs left, 3 bombs right... and I thought BBs had bad dispersion.

Am I the only one who can say that I've never experienced this level of inaccuracy you're talking about?

Sure, it's possible to miss perfect drops on CAs. After all, they're smaller than your circle.

But can you honestly say you often miss perfectly lined up shots on CVs and BBs? Are you sure they weren't tiring, or your aim/timing a bit off?

It's one thing to complain about RNG, but to claim the given dispersion circle is false is another thing entirely.

I have no idea what is the point of dive bombers. Too weak to do damage to BBs and CVs, too inaccurate for cruisers and DDs. Wargaming really needs to make them drop in a line or something and get rid of this dumb dispersion. I can't count the number of times 85% of the yellow circle was on a ship and I get 1 out of 4 hits...

They're actually great for damage because of how reliable they are.

For BBs and CVs, if you get flooding, wait with them until the target pops their R.  Then have your DBs drop across the length of the target.  This allow you to get up to 4 fires, with my average being two.

If you don't get flooding, bomb in sequence.  Send one in, get fire.  Wait.

CVs will generally use their R.  BBs may or may not.  But in general, DBs are great at damaging capital ships if you focus on the fires.

Sounds like a case of the RNG, since the game uses RNG so heavily ingame, its not surprising that it happens, it can be ...very annoying :c.

Still would prefer that they get the damn AP bombs, even if they could never citadel it'd be nice to have something that does more than 800 damage for a single impact if you're unlucky.
