How is this ARP activated/ deactivated

Sorry for living under a rock. But I am confused about how this ARP stuff works.

 

How is it turned on. What are the game mechanical differences?

you take the anime port (forget the name) you have one of the arp ships, yay you can use the arp ship, that's really it.

I believe you will only see those ships' unique skins if you change your port to the Yokosuka port.

Port selection at the top-left corner of the port screen. Pick the Yokosuka port for ARP mode.

 

No gameplay changes, only cosmetic.
