Cost of Ship repairs at Tiers 8 and 9

150000 cost to repair ship before i can use it again !!! ive been working my Butt off to get to Tier Ten destroyer .I currently play Benson and Fletcher .Ive been hit 3 times for Ship repairs at cost fo 150000.Is this Fair considering the amount of money its cost me so far to get ti Tier ix .

This is affecting players incentive to Battle and attack because of the fear of repair Bill . 

This is holding back players from getting involved in Battle and are holding back and hiding to save on repairs .

If i get another 150000 repair bill ,i will go back to Tier 3 and 4 play and if i get bored with this will QUIT the game .

WOW is making big dollars so why hit our back pockets with this repair bill for being good enough to get to the higher tiers .

I don't really understand your complaint, you have been paying high repair at least starting t6 and with the cost of t8 and t9 ships to replace that stuff should be expensive, if you want to play a game with no repair bills there are other's.

I am about breaking even with tier 8 DD without premium.     no plan to go higher,

high tiers aren't meant for credit earning, high tiers are for stuff like Clan Wars when it is implemented or if you really want to play said ships.

I do just fine at T8, I can generally make 50-80k a game unless I die early, cant say about T9, but even then as others have said you arent supposed to make tons of money at those tiers

I make enough credits to turn a profit in generally every match I play with the North Carolina. All you need to do is do damage. I also run the 22,000 credit repair. I've had 2 loses where I have lost 40-50k credits and that was simply because I got screwed by MM with the enemy team having 2 tier X BB's with us having 2 Shims as 'substitutes' and the the other loss because everyone else played better than me that match and I got little to no damage and took an L.

 

The major piece of advice i can give you is don't fire on a target just because you're in range to do so. Be certain your shots will land and do damage, so your ammunition costs don't skyrocket.

1.  Purchase a premium account,

2.  Purchase premium ships,

3.  Play lower tier ships to  grind credits for your high tier matches or

4.  All of the above.

 

This system is in place in all three of the Wargaming PC games, you need to decide how best adjust to it.  Personally, unless CW or something gets implemented I will probably not be trying for Tier X.

You can spend $14 USD on a Murmansk and you're pretty much set for high tier games, even if it's a painfully boring grind.

That would be option #2.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset about the system.  I have multiple premium vehicles in all three games and a premium account.  I just don't really grind for high tiers because I don't care for the costs and there is no Clan Wars yet to prepare for.  I will get there someday, maybe!

I use the Gremyashchi premium dd to grind credits because I can easily average 100k credits without premium account.  However I agree with the OP on this one.  I've had the Shimakazi researched for months, but basically gave up on ever being able to afford it.  It would take me about 200 battles in the Grem to get enough credits to buy it, and I like the Kagero enough to just stick with that.

For heaven's sake don't do 1, 2, or 4.

 

Giving in to anti-player mechanics and paying up just let's WG know they can keep being anti player without consequence. If you don't like it, don't pay, and tell WG why.

 

If you can't handle F2P grinding on lower tier ships, quit and tell WG why.

 

If you can handle the grinding, keep complaining anyway.

You pretty much play through the tech tree just so you can stare at your T8/9/10 ships at port but never take them into battle and risk them.
