If you were playing a Baltimore, then how were you getting obliterated by CVs?

I'd suggest you examine that MM more closely.  Yes, your team had 2 tier 9's and the enemy had none.  But your team also had a 2 more tier 7's than the enemy team as well.  So, if you added up the total tier points of each team, in this case, each team had the same total number of tier points, which comes out to pretty decently balanced MM.
