Blyskawica Upgrade Modules - What Works?

I bought the Blyskawica last night and planned on playing her today. For the modules, I have:

1. Main Battery Modification

2. Gun Fire Control System Modification 1

3. Propulsion Modification 1

4. ???  Damage Control or Steering Gears to reduce rudder shift time???

From what I have seen on YouTube, players fire at long range, use the guns far more than the torps, and always hate when their engines are knocked out. I'm thinking Steering Gears for #4, because when players are in a tight spot, they tend to weave quite a bit.

For those doing well in the Blyskawica, I'm wondering what module upgrades are working for you? Thanks.

As a side note, can we not purchase flags any longer in the premium store? I haven't played in a couple months and was surprised to not see flag sets. Did I miss something?

You're right on the money. I use steering gears because that rudder shift time needs all the help it can get.

For number 4, go with Steering Gears. That reduces her rudder shift to something respectable for a DD. Maneuverability is life in a DD and especially Blyskawica since she starts out with a mediocre rudder shift time. If one needs damage control in the 4 slot of a DD, they are doing it wrong.

:honoring: Main battery Mod 1

          Gun Fire CSM 1

          Propulsion M 1

          Rudder shift time

This DD is better than kiev ..based on my own opinion and experience...Im glad youre having fun with it.

Any news about the flags? Is there some other place to purchase them?

I have to agree here. Gun-wise she is slightly more imposing pre-nerf Kiev with a better gun layout but is penalized with a slightly lower rate of fire. To top it off, she even has useable torpedoes with a quick reload! If ranked is tier 7-8 for season 3, I expect to see her in plenty of matches.

Nope, there is no way to get flags other than to earn them. We have had zilch about flags for a few months now, even though the other serves have had flag packs to buy.

Biggest difference is the gun velocity. I unlocked AFT for her but eventually respecced to demo expert. At 12-14km she shoots like a USN DD at 10km, and those who have played up that line know how difficult it can be to land shots at that distance. Even with AFT I found myself spotted quite a bit and closing the distance to land consistent hits.

Demo expert just enhances the ships standard style of play. 11% fire chance is outstanding, especially on lower tier opponents. If you see a BB pop his repair, odds are good that if you can land 1-2 more salvoes on him, he'll be burning again. I'm much more enjoying the ship that way, but I think both styles are viable.

Yeah, that is a good point. I would hate to be anywhere near that ship once you are spec'd to Demo Expert. 11% on 7 shells every ~6 seconds or so is going to hurt. A lot. I really dislike the orbital shell arcs in the USN line so I will make sure to avoid AFT on her. Especially since Blys is capable of invisi-fire at her default ranges.

Wow. The NA group must have too much money.

I chase did a review/guide on her yesterday on his YouTube channel.

He listed recommendation with reasons.
