Getting Harassed in game over

 Is anyone else getting harassed in games when you are running your Tirpitz? I sure am, I love the ship but these cry babies that try to start crap with me about paying for a ship are getting ridiculous.​

 

* What is so wrong with this ship?

* Why must a player get harassed just because they decided to spend their own money?

* So what if this is a FREE GAME, if I feel like spending money on this game I should be able to with out being harassed over doing so.

 

What do all of you think? I know there are others that have this ship, so I would imagine that you are being harassed as well.

I generally like to follow those games up by being the top XP earner, generally keeps people quite for a bit since a "noob gold buying Tirpitz" is out-performing them by a large margin.

Not every Tripitz was bought - some folks worked very hard to earn them (not saying most people don't have to work hard for their money IRL).

Calling someone a "Wallet Warrior" is a term of endearment. Also, a lot of Tirpitz players had no idea what they were doing and died fairly easily. They've been through the school of "hard knocks" now and are much better. So people are just remembering how badly these people used to play and are not looking at how well most play now, plus it's prob sour grapes in that they were to poor to get a Tirpitz themselves.

Harassment unfortunately is part of online gaming and they know you would need the Pentagon to trace them.

Don't get caught up, just outperform them.

The extreme is to use the "complaint"  service WG has provided.

I love my tirpitz and I love encountering other tirpi, as they tend to just fling HE while I return the favor with AP.

 

Also, the brawling shenanigans I've had with her are outrageous.  

 

 

I like her almost as much as I like the Phoenix/Omaha trio, she's just not as potent as my beloved cruisers for their respective tiers.  That doesn't mean she's not potent, mind you.  She's very potent

I purchased Tirpitz when it was last on sale, because I am almost exclusively a BB player and I wanted it. No one has ever said anything to me about it. And really, if they did, so what? If they aren't feeding me, f-ing me, or paying my bills, their opinions carry zero weight concerning what I spend my money on. I think the thing that bothers most people about many Tirpitz players is the number of of people who bought a T-8 BB without having worked their way up a BB line to any significant degree. A T-4 experienced player in a T-8 BB facing T-9 and 10 opponents, what could go wrong?

This game has an EXTREMELY toxic atmosphere. People are utter scumbags. This is, by far, the worst online gaming community I've ever been a part of. Ignore those people and/or report them.

 

Now, all that being said, I've found myself epicly frustrated/pissed with some Tirpitz players. Because one can simply purchase it without playing a single round of any other ship, you get a ton of people that have absolutely no business sailing a premium BB in high-tier matches. It's not such a big deal in the lower brackets, but in the higher brackets these people very often cost the whole team the game. Because of how powerful she is, if she gets deleted  early (without contributing anything) because her captain is a noob, that's a profound blow to the rest of the team.

I dont recall ever being harassed specifically about the tirpitz, although I was in games where hate was flung towards every tirpitz player. Usually though that just means that I am going to be underestimated and have an easy game. That being said, since the ARP event started my performance in her seems to have taken a dive.

 

Now that I have the ARP Kongo, im waiting to be called out for using an op premium or being a wallet warrior or whatever.

Tirpitz got a bit of a reputation for being the "noob's premium" ship, it would seem. Along with Atago.

 

Kind of like the Lowe in WoT Blitz.

 

It's a good ship, and will certainly perform well in the hands of players who know what they're doing. But, I guess some players have seen more than their fair share of Derpitzes. Or they saw one Tirpitz derp out and came to the conclusion that all Tirpitz drivers are idiots who bought their way up.

I know it happens, but it's very rare that I hear or see anyone directing disparaging comments concerning premium ships of any kind.  I have the Tirpitz.  I'm no expert, but I hold my own.  How much of that harassment Is due to poor game performance?  Are you playing outside of your abilities?  Your info is locked, so I guess we'll never know.

This is very much not a toxic environment. Ive played online games since the internet became a 'thing', when most people didnt know what you were talking about when you said the word internet lol. Counter Strike was the most toxic social game ever created with its privately run public servers, pretty much anything went as long as the server admins let it go. The level of abuse dished out on CS servers was extreme and makes WoWs and WoT look tame.

I got my tirpitz for 5 dollars on the Secret Santa, and some Yamato scrub was [edited]out my OP Pay-to-win Pwnboat for me beating him (he was already damaged somewhat) with a point blank broadside volley around an island he was stuck on, and torpedo spread.

Oh dear lord,  no it isn't.  It has some toxicity sure (("This team suxs!")) but I've played so much worse.  Here I see people trying to give advice and attempting to be strategic relatively often.

 

Though...I do still have games where I desperately want to turn off my chat.  That's generally more stupid then toxic speaking.
