Can the stuck-on-island bug be fixed please?

It is seriously so frustrating side-scraping the side of an island and becoming permanently fixed to it. I just had a potential game for the Kraken achievement, when I got permanently stuck to a point on an island after getting my fourth kill against a Derzki with my Marblehead at 3km. The only remaining enemy ships where the two enemy Langleys which I knew were hiding in the corner of the map, with none of my team close to them and me being in the middle of the map.

 

To take care of any future "should've been looking where you were going. You ran aground" comments, I would understand if it was intended. But because you can hit an island head-on and the reverse out, then there is no excuse why I should become permanently stuck to an island for side-scraping it. The "you ran aground" argument has no foundation because of this.

All I can tell you is to stay away from Islands,    yes it happens, and yes it is frustrating.     But you learn to stay clear of them after you get sunk a few times because your stuck.

Hell man you ran aground.  Deal with it.  It's hard to get off if you are really stuck.  It's your fault.....duh...poor thing.  This takes cake for a whine. Sorry you did not get a huge reward....which no one else really cares about.

Still, you should not become permanently fixed to an island. I'd understand if it was an intended feature, but it clearly is not because you can strike an island head-on going at max speed and then reverse out.

How about no, you cannot? You can always reverse out of an island after hitting it head-on. In fact, I sometimes purposefully let myself steer head-on into an island when there are no nearby threats instead of betting on my luck and ending up side-scraping the forsaken island.

I have been permanently grounded on an island when I became to target fixated and lost situational awareness.

Its rare but it does happen. Allso sidescraping? This aint world of tanks son. Love it when I see fools doing this and usually send em to davy jones locker with multi-citadels.

And the person I was addressing was being ignorant with what he was saying. He was responding to my comment that "you can strike an island head-on going at max speed and then reverse out" with "NO.  You can get stuck....really stuck sometimes." Then I corrected him and then you came in.
