I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of this ship.  I haven't played very many games in her but I was very underwhelmed coming out of a fully upgraded Kongo in to a stock Fuso.  These guns are just silly.

Stock anything sucks... but it sucks more in a battleship. Especially an un-upgraded stock battleship.

Fuso once upgraded is a totally awesome platform you will love... Good game there with only stock components though, well done!

Virtually all of the mid-tier IJN BBs are keepers.  I have always kept my Fuso and Nagato, though I originally sold Kongo and went back for her later.

I have Fuso and Nagato still, but odds are I'll eventually re-buy my Kongo. I tried Amagi on the public test server last patch, and was not overly impressed with it. Seems like a nice ship, and it looks quite good too though. I also tried Izumo and found its gun arrangement to not be such a handicap as people were making it out to be.

What fun it is to stomp a cruiser with a single volley. Fuso is King.

Strapped for creds.  I have 3M.  Was going to buy the Aoba, since I run CLs and BBs, but decided to can it, stay w/ US and GER Cruiser line for awhile and grind some more creds to buy Fuso.  Suspect I won't like Aoba after loving Cleve/Nburg.  Think my next cruiser will have to be Yorck, and I have a long grind for that.

Kongo, Fuso, Nagato and Amagi all pretty much suck when they are stock, but are all probably the best BB's for their tier fully upgraded.  I learned the hard way to always use the free exp to get out of the stock hull, not to finish and get to the next ship.

I managed to get 139k out of a Tier 8 game, four cruisers (T7 and T8) were the kills.  The Fuso is no fluke.  And its one of those ships that have no fear in games two tiers higher.

If you like Nagato, you will like Amagi.  You have the same guns, just more of them.  Stock Amagi - like stock Nagato - is garbage.  Free XP to the B hull right away, then start kicking [edited]and taking names.  You're going to love how sharply you can angle Amagi and still get all 10 barrels on  one target.  Just be careful of exposing her broadside, because she can still be citadel-ed fairly reliably.

Is there something different I need to be doing with the Fuso vs. the Kongo?  I don't get it. I loved the Kongo and had decent stats with it from the very first game, but I can't seem to do anything with the Fuso.

Kongo can play more of a sniper and land hits reliably past 13km or so.  Fuso... not so much.  She's more of a brawler.  Push up into mid-range (~10-12km, not so close you're torpedo bait) and unleash hell.

I would argue the Fuso to be the best tier 6 in the game. Fast, hard hitting with many guns, decent armor and massive range with good accuracy.

EDIT: I'm pretty right back where I was with the Kongo (stat wise), so that's encouraging. The damage is a little low as a result of the first few games where I couldn't hit anything for some reason.

Glad you are liking her more.  She's one of my favorite ships to drive, and was the first IJN BB I didn't despise.

Just unlocked the FUSO, I am debating whether to add the Gun Control Fire system 1 (accuracy) or the Main battery mod 2 (speed of traverse bump and fire rate). Which do you guys that have Fuso experience recomend. I thought the Kongo accuracy was a little weak which is why I am conflicted.

Just in case you don't know, it speeds up the turret traverse but slows down the fire rate. Go for accuracy.

The Fuso is arguably the best T6 ship, arguably because the New Mex is so good too it makes it arguable.  Not as fast as the Fuso and lower RoF, the New Mex's guns seems more accurate however, the AA is better and the hull tankier.  In any case, rather than argue I got both ships to play with.

All the reports of poor long range accuracy confuses me. I've killed a Cleveland and Myoko at 18-19km. I also score hits reliably at 21-23 km. I love the guns for me accuracy is awesome.  I only have maybe 10 battles in her and I have the B hull and plant upgrade, I don't think I have any negative things to say about this mighty ship.

Forgot to get the damage pic....but this was a 178k game which is my new high by far.  Also a defeat...... so sad.
