My question is why? If you're going to cap the high end at T7-8, why have a lower tier for the early ranks? Honestly, I cannot play the mid tier ships. T7 is stretching it. I have USN DDs for the most part, and there's a reason I hardly played tiers 2-7. The Benson would be my only real shot to play the class I do best in. Of course I'm not a special snowflake, and realize that this would change almost half of ranked, and that there is a tier 5-6 community that wants to play ranked. So why not make both a T5-6 and a T7-8 ranked battle mode. In which there is a rank 18-1 for T5-6 and a rank 18-1 for T7-8? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Really how hard is it to play Farragut against average to inexperienced players in 5-6? I wouldn't know, as I haven't gotten the chance to use the Farragut in Ranked. I cant remember much as I only got to play a few, I got in late and didnt put as much effort in (I was unaware of the prize) And the second season was fine... I had fun, and managed to get to 3, but ended at 5... but I did actually PLAY 700 games or so, most with Kiev, and ended in Benson and Atago.... and the Pepsi did ok.... So nothing really wrong with it... Should have played in it,..,,,,,you might not want attention from him for not..... But a separate ranked??? Yes, they do, but it's a completely different beast. Back on topic though, I think a better solution would be to have a "main league" set up the way it is in terms of tiers (or maybe even limited to either 6-7 or 7-8) and a "junior league" for tiers 3-4 or so. And then got kicked out when another player with better stat got in the room. When the game started, it's either a roflstomp or your team got massacred. I wasn't disagreeing, was just pointing out that having the higher tier mandatory made it so some of the less skilled / newer players (not including the 200 battle derpitz captains) would be able to participate but the higher end would be for people who have been around a bit and have an understanding of how to play... which I say loosely in some cases lol Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I personally love playing tier 4-6 ships and wouldn't hesitate to use them if it paid the same rewards as a tier 7-8 parallel league. If ranked is structured like last season, I will be locked out of tier 5-6 play. That is a good thing for new players just trying out ranked for the first time.
