I recently got the Iowa, which means I'm going to be seeing mostly tier 10 games. And I've noticed the amount of people who blame their team for their death is abysmal in the games I've been in. In each match I've played, at least one person has said "Another horrible team" or blaming the team for losing when they themselves clearly made a mistake, and the team was doing all that they could. Is this normal for top tier games? Or am I just getting unlucky, and getting games with the people who complain?

I have played from tier 2-9 since the "holiday break" started...I think it is the "home from college" or seasonal players.

Tons of the "Thanks Teams"...

yes and to be honest the guy is right, there is alot of people who have high tier ships yes but do they know the game dynamics, where to be in their ship, how long it take to get there, what they should be targeting, how dds spot and should be helped to keep things spotted, what to target in a cv and how not to piss planes away on going for enemy cv in a rush, how to reset a cap etc etc? the answer is no because they have used free xp to get particular ships and not spend the time in the trenches so to speak to learn the dynamics of the game.all they care about is "pew pew pew" shooting guns. i think the most important skill in this game is knowing how to read the mini map and where to place your ship now, next and 5 minutes from now to not only help your team but to make sure your guns are in the fight at all times and not behind a huge island for 6 minutes "capping" in a BATTLESHIP AT FULL HEALTH!!! another reason i think the skill lvl at high tiers is so low is because wargaming has drug their feet in releasing full ship lines into the game,i mean come on 2 complete ship lines? the german line NEEDS to be complete before february and so does the soviet/russian to not only hold onto the core players who have been here from alpha but to entice new players to stay and join in the fun.jeez we have been playing the same tier 10 yamato and zao and tier 9.5 montana and 9.5 des moines etc etc 4 ever!

With respect to the development of ship lines, this game is still in beta. It has taken a lot of development time and money to get it this far. It is going to take a lot more time to get it further and to develop more full ship lines. I don't disagree with what you say; but, I don't think you appreciate the difficulty of the tasks and the technical overall picture. Nevertheless, as the game grows in maturity, I am sure it will address the issues you raise.

I feel the game is highly appealing and the player base will grow. Just give it time.

With respect to players who continually blame their teams for losing, I think many of these players have been spoiled by being carried in Random Battles and they have, as you say, rushed up the lines without learning the "game". When their weakness is revealed, because they have no clue about the game dynamics, they blame the team which they expected to carry them.

I think the economy is still also an issue. granted I don't own a tier 10 but I find that everyone is afraid to mix it up with the top 2 tiers

No, I understand that, it's just so many players hit the keyboards blaming their team when they die, or are about to lose.

Yes and also get used to Tier 10 bb players hiding in the corners all game while the rest of the team has to pull their weight. High tier is not for the faint of heart if you cant carry the weight of at least 2-3 other high tier players your bound to lose. High tier repair bills turn the general percentage of players at high tier to play like p*ssies instead of like they are meant to.

Case and point the Montana on my team spent literally the entire game hiding where we spawned lobbing shells while the rest of the team had to pull his weight. A tier 10 BB should never be on the bottom half of the scoreboard

Yeah, you're right. And I'm not saying I'm the greatest BB player, I usually average 3rd on the team. But I still get in the action, and I'm usually the one in front taking damage for the team that's sitting behind me.

I've found that higher tier matches are worse than lower tier matches for a couple of reasons.  (Im not saying that individual player skill is worse though.)

ive just gotten into tier 8 so I have only a limited number of high tier matches, but ive seen a lot of tier 8 and 9 battles, and it seems that the disparity in skill between the top tier ship drivers is huge.

Like a previous poster said.  You are either on a team with competent top tier players or trying hard to make up for incompetent BB play.

On top of this, the MM very often creates extremely unbalanced matches.

imo the sweet spot is Tier 6.

My fifty cents...

First, the cost to reach those upper tiers are high - either in time or money or a bit of both... the term wallet warrior flies around most WG games from time-to-time.

If the grind is too intensive, too long-term then folks will open their wallets to play at higher tiers/premiums simply because they don't have the time or don't want to spend the time to reach the high tiers. Right?

Second, I agree totally it is time to expand the ship lines... if adding ships is time intensive, something may have not been optimized in the game design. Knowing you would be adding/expanding ships, wouldn't you want a system "in place" to do exactly that and in an easy manner? Plug a bunch of parameters... throw some skins on a framework/skeleton then polish the details... sort of a mass-production system. I would be surprised if this were not part of the game design... since additional ships are the source of revenue for the game.

Personally, I pulled out of the Russian ship line completely. The DD are very tough to play in the torpedo mindset, considering the very limited ranges and speed. If I want a gunboat I''ll use a cruiser. If I really want to gun things I'll use a BB. And I too agree to so many others who have griped about the British line absence and filling out the other lines.

What I am trying to understand is the addition of a Polish ship when so many other lines have yet to develop and/or expand... does the ship have a true pull around their various servers to the point people would buy it? Or will folks buy it simply because it's something "new"?

Many folks on the forums express their  concern/belief the real meat of the game lies in tiers V through VII or VIII.... I dunno... I enjoy the levels where I am playing now.

And I do hope they make some changes to get aircraft carrier players back into the game.... especially at the higher tiers.

Even with tier 8 ship, you get thrown in with 9 and 10 a lot,   and frankly,  those games are not fun if you are in DD.   it really becomes DD vs DD game.      I much prefer tier 7 and 8 games.    this is why I stopped grinding at tier 8.   I even have open slot in my dock.
