Should the owners add the Titanic™ to the game? vote below! (but they would add guns of course)

Why don't we add every modern cruiseship then too.

Or cargo ships, I hear those have water cannons.

Here what we'll do: Give it no weapons, strip its ability to capture points, prevent it from being damaged by gun/torpedo fire, and have it sink only when it runs aground. For added effect, make it only playable on "Islands of Ice".

She's already in the game, and she's named Mikasa.

I'd give it an insane amount of HP and make it able to get kills only by ramming. Plus let it upgrade to use a sonic Trolololo cannon.

I know, well I hope the OP is trying to be funny but on September 14, 1914 two ocean liners, HMS Carmania and SMS Cap Trafalger outfitted as armed merchant cruisers did meet in combat at the Battle of Trindade.

Titanic ? no .. she damaged the iceberg and started global warming in 1912 and at that time the balkan wars may have been ongoing but none of the 3 sisters where involved in them wars..
Olympic.. No  after the collision that nearly sank her (and took the paint of the other ship) she was never really the same.

Brittanic... YES  she was a troopship then a hospital ship and was sunk by an austro-hungarian submarine flying the german flag or a german submarine or by mines laid by a submarine under command by Franz Ritter Von Trapp (remember the sound of music ? )

experts are still not sure, the myth continues...

I will pay good money if they add this.

Titanic: Tier 0 cruiser, 1 HP. Only placed in Tier 10 battles, and equipped with only passengers who throw their luggage at enemy ships. Alternative Armament: She shoots icebergs.

If you really really want armed ocean liners look up the Carmania and the Cap Trafalger.

Or put in the Lusitania and Mauritania.

As part of a funding deal with the British Gov, Cunard agreed to allow the ships to be used as Auxiliary Cruisers in the event of war. Both were constructed to admiralty specs with the structure to support the additions of guns, much like Carmania.

Mauritania was laid up at the beginning of WW1 with the intention to make her a cruiser. Lusitania was allowed to continue in regular passenger service. It was only after the Carmania/Cap Trafalgar battle that it was decided against arming Mauritania. The damage to Carmania was very extensive and showed that Liners just couldn't simply operate as cruisers.

NO the Titanic has too much of a tragic history to it for this, it's bad enough Carpathia and Britannic met their ends at the hands of U-Boats

Titanic, much like her sister ships, and other large merchants and ocean liners of the period, was fitted to be converted into a merchant cruiser.  For this purpose, Titanic would likely have had 12 6" guns mounted, 6 per side.

However, there'd be no fire controls, ammunition would not be stored in a way conducive to a high rate of fire, and of course the ship is unarmored, large, and makes a huge target.  So, while it might make a Tier II cruiser, it'd be a pretty crappy one.

If they did, I think they should add icebergs to the map just for some added realism.  Make them sort of like floating torpedoes...  :Smile_great:

How about we add it as a Operation, can't save the Titanic in real life from mother nature, However. We can save the Titanic as a escort operation from London to NY. Retrictions

  • only allied ships
  • Tier 7
  • BBs to ran the Titanic from hitting the ice berg or its mission fail.

I think i would make a good operation. Save the Titanic from disaster, receive decent rewards in the process. I think it can work
