I just have one question. Why the Hell were these two phrases censored out with bleeps? Were they really too graphic to keep in the game or something? My 3 year old cousin gets away with saying things worse than that.

Well it isn't son of a gun.. its the other son of a and typically it's sonofab.... all one word. It IS appropriate to censor the language because guess what, it IS their game.

Yeah, stupid censored F-chat...

Next, instead of "Battle Stations!" we'll get:

"Fire up the boilers God4^^!7! "

"$H!&7! ...forgot Fu$&ing Ammo!"

"A-firm t!77y!"

and such...

Censoring can be used to great comedic effect, but not in this case.  The sound is ear-splitting, and I wish they'd just remove it entirely.

Might be worth noting that "son of a gun" originated from the 1800's Royal Navy.  Also, if you pay close attention while watching The Longest Day, you'll hear somebody say "stone the crows!"   It's the scene where the priest is looking for his lost communion set.

It's not 1940's cursing.  It's 1940's writing.  They knew all the bad words back in 1940 that we know now.  My grandfather was a fine a cusser as ever walked the earth.
