What BB line to go up? Still can't figure it out and don't want to waste my time.

My play style is unknown.  But I do seem to favor a little range and accuracy with most of my ships so far.  I also do not like to be out ranged in any BB by a cruiser.

UPDATE:  Dam, I started the USA line to tier 4, but thank you for your answers, I am switching to the IJN line.  Lets hope that when the German or British BBs come out we all don't regret spending time on either of the current lines.

Sounds like a Japanese BB player, though they are slower to turn and have less armor than their American counterparts (Except Yamato)

P.S. Their is no "best class" Though many agree the Kongo is a great BB

I went with both. I have the Iowa researched but I'm too poor to buy it.. and I have the Amagi fully researched now and in my dock.

I did the same thing, I did the USN BB line first and have my Iowa. Now I am grinding up the IJN BB lin and am about to get the Amagi, when I have time to start playing again anyway.

The USN are a bit more forgivable when you make mistakes but are great for learning how to play the BB lines. Moving over to the IJN line I took what I learned and had to modify it a bit as the armor is not as durable.

If you want speed and range, then go IJN, if you want durability, go USN.

Judging by the vague information you gave, which we all know you're going to do b/c your past, which isn't the point. From what you gave, IJN seems best for you, they have far longer range, and their accuracy is not out of this world at those ranges.

frankly,  top players in each nation have similar stat.   lousy players in each nation also seem to do equally poorly with exception of  Yamato.   so if you are planning on going to t10,  go IJN.  otherwise,  I don't think it matters that much.   go with what you like.       US does have bit better protection  at a cost of range

I'm barely average on a good day in a BB but the IJN line are far more interesting to play and that is like the rest of the game where USN boats are generic feeling throughout with one being just a single upgrade difference from the last. That gets boring fast and gets worse once the realization sinks in that you have to grind millions of credits for an extra salvo's worth of HP.

The range issue is not really an issue due to how truly horrible RNG is with BBs. Effective range with a BB is near to 15-17k max and if you try to snipe at the longer ranges all you succeed in doing is making the other ships in your team eat the damage your BB is designed to take and you will barely influence the game. You will be the team mate everyone hates to have. BBs that lead are great team players and really help a team. The back mappers kill team play and really rack up losses for everyone. If you are that good a shot at range to make a difference then imagine how OP you could be in closer.

Other than the first quarter of a game the ranges get to 10-15k anyhow.

The USN boats are soooo slow and have crappy reloads/turret rotation as well that encourages bad play habits of not angling and not supporting pushes. IJN will help you be a better sailor and enjoy the game a lot more . The only substantive advantage USN has is AA but it's not a deal breaker as much as attentiveness to torp warnings.

Go ahead and try both until T6 and then go on with the IJN where the fun is.

BB  is only ship that I have, that I have time to look around and see the whole map to make decisions on what to do next.    you have lot of time  to make good decision.     don't get glued to the scope.   scope in,  aim, shoot,  scope out.   look at minimap,  do a wiggle if needed,    select target (if you find better  near your aim, change target)  and repeat.     go practice shooting though and judging speed.   be patient with aiming/firing.

BB play isn't hard, but does take bit of patience.

at tier 8+ the roles reverse and USN have to be extremely compared to IJN.  Iowa/NC is pretty easy to citadel compared to izumo/yamato.  Montana is a little bit harder to cit, but still can take a lot of damage in full broadsides

The Yamato is unquestionably the best. That means theoretically it will get nerfed somewhere down the line though. The Iowa is pretty darn good as a Tier 9 US BB(which is where I'm at), and I had a lot more fun with the US line for 5, 6, and 7 than I did with the IJN line for those same tiers. I didn't much care for the North Carolina at 8 though, and I didn't buy the Amagi(IJN Tier 8) yet.
