First game in the Fuso

Finally saved up enough credits, bought the Fuso, jumped into battle. 

 

We lost, but I got 4 kills, the confederate award, and tied the leader on the winning team for base experience. 

 

This is gonna be good.

 

So does anyone have any suggestions about how she should be used?

Fuso is great, stock or not. I've done best when I've played aggressively, and gone after enemy cruisers and battleships. Don't be afraid to ram either.

Fuso is a keeper and a blast to play.  I used her for the majority of the ranked games of that level.  Loaded with HE she rips apart DDs who disrespect her and with AP she is death to anything else.  I think she is the strongest BB in that tier and contributes well even beyond it.

Well I also have the New Mexico, I'll have to do some comparisons and see which is stronger. I don't hang back with my BBs, and I think the New Mexico is pretty awesome. Hopefully the Fuso will rock my world but i'll have to get it fully upgraded first.

Yeah, You were in the Mutsuki right? It really is a shame, we could have won with the New York.

Yep, twas me in the mudsucker, had just gotten 1 or 2 torps into the BB in our cap, their CA was almost dead (2k hit points left) and their non cap BB already half dead from a torp hit or 2 of mine That was their remaining ships to our afk NY and a Russian Og that was pretty good.

oh how I LIVE the Fuso (fully UG it's a beast).... and the New Mexico...

Both are great BBs, for the tier they reside in... the NM is a heavy duty brawler and can really angle and still get all guns to bear.... the Fuso has really decent range and can snipe very well, and when used properly can wipe put DDs as was stated above and the AP knockout power she has is very good... I love them both and have them in my port.. and bring them out often.. but now I am grinding the Colorado and want the NC... and almost to the Amagi....

The Fuso and New Mexico are both deadly.  This is the first tier that I have liked the battleships from both tech trees.  I'm not really a battleship guy, either, but this can be fun.  In these ships, I really feel that I can help carry the battle.

 

I have found that the Fuso's dispersion can be a little rough when things get up close.  I had ship running straight for me trying to set up a torp run, and as he got in close I couldn't kill him due to the shot spread.  From farther out I would have obliterated him.

Fuso is love.  I had an absolute blast in that ship.  Twelve 14 inch guns on a 25 second reload at tier 6 was just...OP. 

 

Only advice I can give is be hyper vigilant to your angles.  Fuso isn't well armored, so you'll get nasty damage if you're not making sure to blade your ship in between shots.

Love my fuso. Sadly, I had to sell it to afford my Nagato (regretting that decision already,) because I didn't want to grind for 402602060251300000 silver without premium.

I have yet to play the new mexico but i don't know if this is just american BBs or just the few that i have played (TV and lower) but they have horrible turret archs compared to Japanese BB's. meaning you can keep an aggressive slope on your armor while still getting all guns on target, even with the fuso with mid turrets, they still arch forward and backwards nice.

Fuso's fantastic but always be aware that it's rather fragile compared to the New Mexico, you're greatest strength is the your firepower. When I'm at range I always keep turning and when attacking another BB, angle as much as possible between salvos. 

 

It's not the best for a brawl but you can still dish out some serious pain if you can bring all your guns to bear.  And don't bother switching to HE if you meet DDs, it's not worth the time and AP does like minimum 1k damage on a DD anyway.
