A minor update to the client is bringing some fixes to the game. 


With the release of the 0.5.1.3 patch Equal Speed Charlie London flags will be credited to everyone who used flags in the time period between versions 0.5.1 and 0.5.1.1 because of a malfunction in the mechanics of the flag system.

 

In Ranked Battles:

  • Fault Line map turned off for battles of Rank 10 and higher
  • Ocean map is now only available for battles of Rank 10 and higher
  • The likelihood of dropping-out of the Ocean map has been halved

 

In Random Battles:

  • The chance of getting Zone mode on the Trap and Islands of Ice maps, for high-tier battles, has been halved

 

System changes:

Resets for in-game tasks will now happen in regards to a specific region. Users who enter the game on EU, NA and ASIA realms after this change is applied may notice the following artifacts during the first 24 hours after the changes are applied:

  • Users will get a chance to complete Daily Quests twice during the first 24 hours
  • Users will get a chance to receive the First Win bonus twice during the first 24 hours
  • The amount of complaints and compliments that can be given by a player will reroll twice during the first 24 hours, which means the players will get a chance to complain and appraise twice as much during the first 24 hours

 

Other changes:

 

  • Fixed an error leading to the ships’ characteristics not being calculated at the camouflage set for visibility. Now the recalculated characteristics are displayed
  • Fixed an error causing the smoke effects from ships´ funnels, and some other effects to disappear
  • Fixed an error causing the shell tracer to disappear mid-air or close to the ship
  • Fixed an error causing the airplanes queuing for the landing, circling too far from the aircraft carrier. The landing time for several consecutive air groups has therefore decreased significantly
  • Minor changes were made in localisations

so still no fix for ships getting hit by shells that miss completely.

Or do Myoki's still have their magazines in a barge 30mtrs behind them?.just saying.

OK, I am curious.  What happens to the complaint/compliments?  Is there just a magic counter out there that trips if someone has 3000 complaints?  Do compliments get rewarded or are they subtracted from the sum of complaints?

OK, I am curious.  What happens to the complaint/compliments?  Is there just a magic counter out there that trips if someone has 3000 complaints?  Do compliments get rewarded or are they subtracted from the sum of complaints?

 

Well, I know my buddy gets chat banned at least twice a month.  Sometimes up to a week long.

The number of incapacitations is still too high. Even though I got rid of my destroyers because of it, I still see it happen on enemy destroyers.

Also, the bots' weapons in the co-op battles are way too accurate. The traditional methods of changing course and speed have no effect because you still get hit.

Can we just do away with fires, flooding, knocked out guns, torpedoes, engines and jammed rudders if this can't be fixed?

YAAAAAAY!  I thought something was fishy there, but it's hard to focus on it when you're playing.

My guess, it is referring to the chance of getting that map in a battle.

Hopefully they don't waste their time on something you shouldn't even be able to see until real issues that actually have an impact on the game are taken care of.

It's getting really bad.. Not even close and geting hit by a guy that can't shoot? It's not Myoki's onyl, either...

It's a desync issue. It's not 100% fixed but trust me when I say it's gotten a LOT better. A year ago in CBT I would routinely aim a ship length or two ahead, or behind targets in order to hit them midships.

Well I know what I'm doing for the next 10 hours :) :bajan:

 

This had been possible since mid-October via a manual edit in  preferences.xml  but it's a relief to finally see a menu option for the less technically inclined and for those who would never have bothered to search the forums for the tweak.

 

Looking forward to trying out the carrier change. It was annoying to manually control all squads waiting to land around the carrier to make sure they didn't stray.

  • Users will get a chance to complete Daily Quests twice during the first 24 hours -   I suggest Compliments be reset every hour and complaints every 24 hours.  jk :O)

...When can I be unbanned for being a bot to enjoy this update?

 

Obligatory rant out of the way, thank you for fixing the shell tracer bug.  Now I actually take damage from the shell and not the wind of its passage.
