gold not transferring?

hello sailors/tankers!  before this game came out, my understanding was that Wargaming would allow the gold purchased in WOT to transfer over to WOW, etc because it's all one unified account.  that doesn't appear to be the case, can anyone clarify?

Warships premium currency is currently separate. in warships its called doubloons and in tanks and warplanes its Gold. That is the first hint that it doesn't transfer.  Eventually it will be unified but for warships you have to buy doubloons specifically for it to be in your account here.

yeah i saw where the currency has different names and wasn't compatible between the two games.  disappointing but i get it, they're running a business to make money so no big surprise.  still like the game a lot.

Free XP isn't shared either - normally that can be earned in WoWP od WoT and used in either, but not the case with WoWS. Which is a bummer for those of us who played WoT/WoWP (if anyone still even bothers with WoWP) to grind free XP for WoWS.

Currently only premium time is shared.

 

Also probably the opposite. Exp is awarded in huge blobs here. I have more than I can ever imagine what to do with. It's definitely a credit crunch here as opposed to exp crunch elsewhere (except for me, credit crunch in both games 24/7.) Merging free exp would devalue WoT and WoWP by a lot.

It would be real nice if WG would just give us an answer!

At this point they should have a ballpark idea of when or if they will do it.

If the plan is no, then they should just come out and say so!

Sadly, odds are, if it does happen, it will likely be after the game hits the 1 year mark in open release.

I currently have a little over 6700 gold that is just sitting in WoT waiting for the answer....

Gold is a special form of in-game currency which is usually purchased with actual money. Unlike credits (the primary currency of World of Tanks), gold is usually very difficult to earn in the game without spending money.

Gold is considered premium currency, and it is used to buy either special in-game goods or is used as a substitute for credits. Gold is not transferable from one account to another, even if they are on the same server. WarGaming accounts are unified, which means the same account shares the same gold and free experience in all WarGaming games. For example, gold acquired in World of Warplanes can be used in either World of Tanks or World of Warships. This article will explain in detail how to acquire gold and what it can be used for.
