All the good players quit?

Lately it seems it's nothing but bad matches after bad matches.  Vast majority of players seem to have no clue how to drive, use positioning, have any map awareness, know when to switch ammo type, etc, etc.

I just had yet another match where my entire team was full of passive idiots that don't want to fight.  We lost in 7min due to cap with half the team still alive.  I started calling out the problem in the first minute when our Myoko instead of helping at A turned around and went to the back of the map. I went A (as a DD) but had to turn back due to no support against half the enemy team.  DD spawned in the middle didnt go B, just sat there, never popped smoke and didn't use his guns (Farragut) to defend B being capped.  3rd DD pushed on C and again had no backup and had to retreat.  The rest of the match, our entire team sailed around spawn at the back of the map. FYI this wasn't even a high tier match, was a tier 6 to 8 game.

WG, it's seriously time for an in-game tutorial that cannot be skipped.  Most people aren't even going to visit the forums, let alone read guides or watch videos.

In short, the quality of play has taken a nose-dive in recent weeks compared to that of CBT and early OBT.

You'e one of those people who needs a tutorial, if you can't realize that a single Myoko isn't going to do crap against half the enemy team.

If the rest of your team is sitting in the back, then the game is already lost, ad the best thing you can do is gtfo and stay alive, save your repairs.

Stop playing low tiers and you won't be teamed with the new kids who don't know how to play.

Not rocket science...

Low tiers is tiers 1 through 4...OP said this was in tiers 6 through 8, and I have to somewhat agree with him. By tiers 5 through 10, you should have a general grasp of how to play and use your ship, but I've been seeing this all to often as well lately.

Maybe you should try reading the entire OP before posting and acting like you even remotely know what you're talking about?

zzzzzzz, nothing to see here.  Sure, OP, you were the only non-"idiot" on your team.  Sure.  Man, this is getting old.

Ahh yes, the attack on me instead of talking about the general problem.  Myoko turned as soon as the game started, and had nothing to do with the amount of enemies.  He wouldn't have been alone.  There was another cruiser that loaded in late and myself.  But hey, continue the personal attack when you weren't even in the game.

BTW, good job on 4300 games played already.  Now get a life.

People with peristance will fail their way to Tier 10 because an Arcade system sets no real ability barriers for play.

I don't consider tiers 6-8 as low tier.  1-4 are low tier and guess what?  I have the Omaha and the players are just as bad as down in tiers 1-2. I am pretty bad so I know what I am talking about. :sceptic:  Actually I like to play the low tiers.  Lots of action ya know.  A fallacy exists in this game.  The higher the tier the better the players.  That is true to some extent but cluless players can easily get to the high tiers.  Moreover I hear more b#tchin from high tiers players than lower tiers.  So many of em carp that I wonder why they even want to get up above tier 8. At least in the low tiers the players are generally not AFRAID to fight their ship.  They may not be great but there is lots of fighting.  I have fun playing there.

Nope, there was maybe 2 or 3 others that seems to know what they were doing, like the DD that tried to go C.  And I'll give the carriers the benefit of the doubt as it wasn't their fault.  BB's as well...if the cruisers aren't pushing, the BB's aren't going to either.

To be fair the game really doesn't reward people who get up close. In my T6 ships I see up to T8 opponents and the best ones are the BB or CA players who land citadel hits from long range.

In the Mutsuki I'm lucky to get more than 1 kill launching torps from out of detection range.

Same tier BB or CA players are scoring the kills and leading damage chart.

It's true.  I enjoy the lower tiers (2-5) far more than the mid and high tiers. The number one reason is the action. Tier 2-5 people aren't being overly cautious  Nobody wants to be aggressive in the upper tiers because they will get focused down quickly if they don't have support.  Cowering at spawn, not pushing for objectives just leads to the same result as if they rushed out to their deaths.

He has average stats.  That doesn't make him a good player.

His suggestion is to run and hide to save repair bills in the first 2min of the battle when it looks like your team is going to go passive...that's not a response from a good player.  That's a response from someone that is part of the problem.

And yea, 4300+ matches in 6 weeks is ridiculously unhealthy.  That's basically playing all day every day since launch.

Some teams are just bad.

Two examples, from recent games in Konigsberg:

Game 1:  I kill five (5) ships, shell out over 100k damage in a two-point domination game.  We lose because the other 11 members of my team managed to kill one ship between them.  ONE.

Game 2:  From this morning, another two-point domination game.  I kill only three (3) ships on 70k damage, despite having my engine shot out 3-4 times.  When I finally succumb, we are ahead on points, with a Phoenix, Karlsruhe, Hosho, Bogue, and New York left against a Kongo, Zuiho, and Hosho.

While closing in on the enemy Zuiho, our Phoenix torps our Karlsruhe ("LOL oops!" he says).  He eventually manages to sink the Zuiho, but gets torpedoed to death in return by the CV.  Our New York is closing on their remaining CV and BB, and is on about half health.  Our Hosho has a fighter squadron circling himself, 15km away, doing nothing.  The New York gets torpedoed three times over the course of several minutes - all while screaming for fighter support in team chat - and eventually dies.  While this is going on, the Bogue does nothing.  (Out of planes?  Dunno.)  Our Hosho is down to fighters only or something, and ends up steaming straight towards their Kongo and getting torpedoed and shot to death. I quit out of the game at that point, knowing it was futile.

Majority tier9-10 games are as bad as low tier. Over all every game with total 12 players each side normally would only have avg 1/3 knows what they doing regardless which tier.

Its one of those kinds of matches, when the OP seems themselves as being the only competent person on their team, :P I've seen these kinds of threads in the thousands.
