Yeah, and if you actually read the articles, you'd know that the aircraft-carrying equipment replaced the after torpedo mount and the #3 5-inch mount.  And that the infobox specs are for the ship's configuration after they decided one floatplane really wasn't worth it, and they refitted those ships back to the standard Fletcher configuration.

 

So the premium version would have four 5-inch mounts, one torpedo mount, and a rearranged AA array.

Actually, with the defensive fire cooldown it could be a very capable anti-aircraft platform with a fighter.  Otherwise with a spotter floatplane (like it ought to have) that little bit of extra range could make it a really capable shooter and a fun niche ship to play.

 

I'd buy it if it's made available.  Then again, I'm easy.

Well there will have to be a plane penalty since in the real DD, the plane could launch but it could never come back.  So only one time you can use the floatplane maybe?

This would make an interesting premium ship. I'd be fine with that as long as the plane is a scout and not a "float fighter."

 

If this ship does become a premium, I'd imagine someone would gift Jingles with one. A Pringle for Jingles.

Actually in game term, it would be ONE use or one unit. Typical uses/hangar capacity for cruisers and battleships is at least 3 uses/planes in the game.

I'd still be totally fine with this.  It was kind of a gimmick ship even when it was a real thing.
