Has My Graphics Card Gone Bad Already or is it Something Else?

I don't know if it's the Halloween Patch or what, but over the last few days my screen has cut out to black anywhere from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes in battle depending on how high the graphics are set. I'll confess it had been over a month since I had last dusted inside the case,which I did after it cut out the first time, but I find it hard to believe that this would be the cause of the sorts of problems I've been having since the card's only about as old as the open beta. It seems to work fine for normal computing and in port, its just that the battles keep dropping out like this.

Memory: 4.00 GB

May I ask when your screen is cutting out to black; Is the screen going to sleep mode and your pc staying on? 

 

Might be a PSU failure. Could be GPU overheating.

That's an ancient rig I'm guessing, if that is the original PSU I would look at your relationship between the PSU and GPU.  If that PSU is as old as the chip, then buying a new GPU probably made it beg for mercy even though it's not a gaming GPU.  When I was overclocking my last GPU to high in warplanes, it would do something similar.  But I would get a different failure/problem for warships with the same  bad overclock.

Monitor your temps very carefully during stress conditions, might need to reduce that GPU's clock a tad or increase it's voltage.  Certainly reinstall or revert it's drivers won't hurt.

These past recent patches right after the patch for the new German and Russian ships I've been getting low fps.. at start of game i get 60-70 then when in the middle of battle i get 20-30.. what is going on with world of warships!? I tried lowering all the graphic options from resolution to everything on low and off and i still have the same FPS.. can someone tell me why in the world did i lose so much fps after this past few patches!!? specs are Intel core 2 Duo E8400 with GTX 760, and b4 i had Radeon hd 6450 which ran the game from 30-40 fps on somewhat low settings at beginning to the end no drops under 20 fps
