I hope so.  The holiday is still celebrated in a lot of non-Christian countries -- with a more secular spin focused on the gift giving aspect and away from the religious context -- so personally I think WG should go for it!

Mentioned this in another thread, but the biggest thing I like about it is that with the darker sky I can actually read the stats when I mouse over something.

I actually like the night setting. Very atmospheric. Made me want to linger in port view. Now, if only my ship would lit up its windows.
