why did they put those right next to each other. it was a miss click......

Maybe a "are you sure" prompt wouldn't be a bad idea. I bet you won't do it again though.

Yeah default is to send it to reserve.  Unfortunately if your reserve is full, they default to dismissing.  This is poor design.

I'm pretty sure you can send in a support ticket and get it back. I've heard similar stories where they had their captain returned.

I had the same thing happen to me but my cat stepped on the keyboard just as I was trying to move captains around.....I was like....NOOoOoOoOo then my best Cartman impersonation of BAD MR.KITTY!

Or you could actually pay attention to what you are doing instead expecting a Nanny to hover over all your decisions.

 

OP, I'm sorry that you lost a captain, but sometimes the best lessons in life are those that have some pain involved.

I did the same thing to my best IJN captain. I sent a ticket and I was informed that he was now working for the Soviets (i.e. I couldn't get him back).
