T3 is so much fun!

Last night brought the joy back to this game for me. Was playing the new Russian DD's with my friend for a few hours and we had a blast derpsking. Everyone playing aggressive  and everyones having fun. Lots of ships sinking. Matches over in 10 minutes with - no butthurt. Whats not to like?

I'm taking advantage of all the fragile German ships down low by training a new US BB captain in the SoCar. I might even rebuy the Kawachi for that too.

T3 battles are fun. I every so often bring out the St. Louis to have fun.

I often see noobs shooting mountains early, to try their guns I guess, and at the same time broadcasting their position and I laugh.

I ignore chat most of the time, esp the moment I see a toxic comment. Turned off the chat sound as soon as that was available so now I do not mind the constant pressing of buttons by noobs. This happens more often in Co-op though.

I never liked DD play at tier iii going up IJN because it was too chaotic to learn about how to use the ship to prepare for  mid-tier play.  But yeah that Derpy DD looks like it could be fun smashing around the map in that thing for good times....sinking stuff or getting sunk.

Had my best game in the South Carolina in awhile yesterday!  All those dresdens and kohlbergs that sat broadside playing patty cakes with my hull while I put AP right under their stacks.  Its a glorious time to play a T3 BB!

 

Also, I really like the low tier Russian DDs, I'm up to the izyaslav and I just hunt DDs and spam HE at cruisers with them.  I don't even bother with the torpedoes and run them like a cruiser near their max range, been fun so far.

T1 battles are fun in the soviet cruiser..........unless you get citadel-ed multiple times in a row.

I think it's a time issue. Primetime last night was all Tier 3 matches full of Germans. Eastern Timezone at lunch, not so much

 

I DID get in a Phantom Fortress match with the Kolberg though. (never saw the CV though) Was the last one left, got 150ish hits, 1 incap, 3 fires..... for just over 20K damage, 1/3 of that from the fires lol.
