Drag a box around them or hold shift and hit their numbers. They'll follow the same orders.

Click and hold to drag a box over your screen; you can select multiple squads of planes by selecting them in this manner. Once you do, if they're all torpedo bombers and they are close together, all movement, attacks, etc. should be coordinated.

Drag a box like they say. That selects the adjacent aircraft squadrons, then you can order them together to the same spot. Press Ctrl-A to select all your squadrons.

For a list of all keyboard commands, see Quaffer's excellent list:

I tried all of the above and even tried with a target picked and still it doesn't work... what am I doing wrong?is there a video with this procedure?

Wait, what?  With 945 games playing a carrier, you have never had the need to control more than one squadron at once?

With that many games, have you changed your control settings?  If so, or if you're not sure, check your control settings and make sure both 'Crtl' and 'A' are not being used for another function, other than their default.  As well, if your squadrons are far apart when they are selected, they need to form up before they can make a simultaneous attack.  So fly them to an intermediate location on the map so they are flying close together, then have them attack.
