Ever feel like Eric Cartman when your playing a destroyer ? (Just venting)

A venting moment, Just wanting to vent a bit of frustration I feel sometimes when teammates just look at the destroyer tag and not what "class" of destroyer you are.

 

It feels like some people just don't understand the difference between a US tier 6 destroyer and a IJN Destroyer, why is it every time I look on the forum, I want to just put my hands on my head and go "HOW DO WE REACH THESE KIDS"  when they try to Nerf torpedoes. 

 

Do we need to hire Peppy Hare and get these battleships and cl's to do a barrel roll, (Press A Or D) To get them to understand how to dodge torpedoes, Do we need to get them to use the boost to get through the torpedo spreads.  What can we do.. I wanna just head desk every time a guy who has just gotten to tier 5 or a derpetz wants my silly little destroyer to "knowingly" go into a HEAVY Smoked enemy controlled cap, with a battleship near by at near dead health and a CL who is at half health, with the CL wondering why a USN destroyer would wanna turn away for a couple mins, and not rush headlong into a cap when you know there is an enemy mahan and mutuski are just waiting and camping for them.

 

Why do I need to repeatedly explain "I'm an escort specked anti-destroyer ship, not a torpedo long range ninja spammer"  Seriously it just makes me wonder how they got to tier 5 and 6 in the first place sometimes.

I feel you, man. But its not just tier 5 an 6. I was in a game yesterday with my Gearing, and a Tier 9 IJN BB driver was still talking about how DDs are OP. Another one, a T10 USN Cruiser driver, trying to tell me that Cruisers need to be able to spot DDs at longer ranges. Wat. 

 

Anyway, I checked both of their stats and neither of them had played more than a dozen games in DDs. So yeah. 

 

Those people will always be out there. They don't visit the forums. They don't watch strategy vids. They don't do research. They just log in and play and rage about how they die after sailing in a straight line for 5 minutes.

=(^_^)= , Least it makes me feel better, but yeah.

 

I can't really complain about the player population as a whole.

Honestly outside 1 or 2 games, usually there is at least some attempt at cohesion when everyone semi does their roles. Sure it ain't perfect but not horrible bad games. Anyway been trying to play CV and BB to understand a bit better what their suffering through... oh wait suffering what ?? Well ok, as an IJN cv is a bit too one sided (More USN Carriers in 2v2 games then IJN so its a bit unfun, not fully unbalanced just unfun)

 

I semi got used to why a BB "pretends" their a sniper.. but then other part I don't get why BB's don't rotate out their dmg.

 

Anyway, Every time I see an enemy dd especially mahans and fubukis all I can think is.... I hope they aren't these guys.

 

 

Seriously though, Always fun when I run into fellow dds for a good ole huggy huggy , jukey jukey , torpy torpy, pewy pewy knife fight at mixed ranged.
