Has stock Wyoming been nerfed?

Just wondering, I have noticed the stock Wyoming has a slight gun range nerf, has anyone noticed this?

Stock Wyoming is worse than the SC.

Stock Wyoming was always terrible, which would reflect her tech when she was originally built in 1911, before Radar and fire control computers...in theory the range should be terrible....  That being said, I think one of the last 2 patches I saw a note for the Wyoming turret rotation speed being reduced, not the range of its main guns.

Stock Wyoming range was nerfed; compare its range to the Arkansas Beta which has prenerf range.

I noticed my Arkansas Beta has 14 KM gun range and compared with stock Wyoming 11.3 KM gun range and also once you upgrade the FCS on Wyoming on stock or upgraded hull, it is still 0.7 km less than Arkansas beta, before the nerf, I found stock and upgraded Wyoming was quite fun

Stupid thing nerfs itself.  Who designed a warship that fires better going in reverse than forward?  I hate grinding this garbage barge...

Dono only time I played t4 in months was when I was grinding kuma to  myoko. I destroyed many Wyomings. It probably needs a buff not a nerf.

Your question was answered. Both its turret rotation and base range were reduced a few patches ago. Range and hull upgrades bring it up to its original range, but the turrets are now super-slow to turn.

Just wondering would returning the Wyoming to pre nerf be a good idea?

It was outperforming pre-nerf because it has double the shell count of Myogi, meaning more shots on target, almost 50% more alpha DPS too IIRC. Slowing down the turrets made them harder to smash DDs apart. The range is just to encourage people to actually buy the upgrade and give Cruisers more buffer against stock ships.

In my opinion it's an exceptional ship, the best tier 4 in the game (leading Isokaze by a little).

 

Nikolai may be a better ship once it's out, mainly due to the arrangement of the turrets, allowing full 12-gun broadsides more often than Wyoming (balanced by slightly worse RoF).

  Lies, damned lies and statistics!   The Phoenix takes some time to learn, but when you learn to use it properly and it's buffed with mods then it's BUFF.  I absolutely sucked for my first 10 battles driving it.

I do very well in the Phoenix mind you, but the Wyoming (and BBs in general) tend to be able to pour out a lot more damage. It's one of the reasons why Cruisers become less and less effective as you tier up, to the point of near-uselessness at tier 8+.
