Any idea what kind of bb the soviets will have in their tree's, and if the imperator alexsandr III will be the t4 prem?

The Soviet BB's will most likely be godly. Having the mightiest of Steels, Stalinium while shooting shells made out of the Tears of Hitler right into your citadel. Also lets not forget the full proof Logs as extra protection.

the only BBs that we really know for certain are project 21, 23, and 24 from tier 8-10. 3-7 can be anything for all we know (Though I am willing to bet Gangut is tier 3 or 4).

However the Imperator Nikolai I -- is known at tier 4

well from past WG games, 90% of them will be fictional and 100% of them will be broken OP.

I like to see expat ship Gulio Cesare (Conte di Cavour class) as a Tier 4 BB as the Novorossiysk.  One question is whether it should retain the Italian guns or get the Russian 12" guns, as a planned upgrade before the ship sank thanks to an old German mine and taking the lives of 607 seamen.  

 

Arkhanglesk (former RN Royal Sovereign) would be nice for tier 6 BB too.

Well there are the Gangut esque group at tier 4, the later WWI projects above them, then Soviet projects above them.

maybe the planned upgrade as a tier 5 premium.   The rebuilds with modernized rifles at tier 4 might be much. I've pondered Dante Alighiere at T4 with Doria at T5 for full growth from ww1 to ww2 rebuild personally. Which would leave Cavour free for Russian shenanigans.

Will have to be be towed into action by a DD at 6-8kts with one turret and all heads nonfunctional but will still rain mighty OP Soviet death on everything while "The Sacred War" plays. Because: no Rudel.

Project 23 would be the sovetsky souyz class battleship, reasonably comparable to an Iowa, It'll proably have better armor but less speed. (the Russians used thicker but inferior armor, I suspect WG'll not focus heavily on the qualitative differances however)  I've not been able to find any info on a project 24, but many of my books on warships are dated from the cold war so I basicly was reduced to wikipedia and google. it's worth noting that during the 50s there where rumors floating around of a soviet "super battleship" that supposedly got axed when Stalin died  that said, I expect it'd have 18 inchers and increase it's speed.

There is book "Stalin Superbattleships". However it's in Russian. Still, I translated some of comparison tables, they are in Ideas part of the forum.

Long story short, project 24 is even more uparmored version of project 23. She retains main 16" armament from project 23 (with improvements), however secondary artillery switched to 130-mm DP, and AAA is heavilly buffed. Plus other nice things such as radar-assisted fire control etc.

Yes, Project 23 is Sovetsky Soyuz

 

Project 24 is a postwar sovetsky soyuz with overall improvements to armor, AA, etc. except for speed which would have been the same. It was designed with 406mm guns because of Stalin, but designers wanted 3x3 18 inch guns rather then 16 inch guns, so we will likely see the 18 inch variant.
