Hey all, I've had my tier 4 Japanese CV for a while now and I was just wondering whether or not it was worth it to go down that line or play the Americans. Can anyone give me any info on which line is better and/or worse? Thanks!

I enjoyed the american CV's a bit more, just liked the larger squads. (it's CV btw, not AC)

What are AC's?  Try CV's for a more professional response. CV = aircraft carrier BB = battleship CA = cruiser DD = destroyer.

Japanese air conditioners are quite energy efficient.

On a serious note, both nations' CVs have serious flaws, one of them being the "national flavor" loadouts.

IJN have more squadrons but fewer planes per squad and the planes are less durable than the USN aircraft.

All true, though for more detail, CA meant "Cruiser, Armored", which was then transformed to "Cruiser, Heavy".  And CL means "Cruiser, Light".

I like the american line for air superiority fighter loadout...  Less xp for you but more hopeful to your team I think.

I wanted to keep it simple because you could throw in the N nuclear classes then it just becomes bragging lol.

If your interested in the long haul, USN cvs have AMAZING T9 and 10, And the IJNs T9 and 10 arent as good. The IJN line is better up until then.

Been there, done that, and yes I got a couple of T-shirts to show for it.   :honoring:

IJN line comes into sweet lovelyness at 7 (Zuiho is amazing but the Ryujo is floating garbage in my opinion) where as the USN only becomes truly on par with its ijn counter at T9.

USN

Pros

1) large squads

2) great torp spread

3) truly evil fighters that love nothing more than pew pew pewing enemy planes

4) Mean AA ratings on the cvs (compared to other ships in the tier)

Cons

1) Can only contend the air or strike ships and no much negotiation in that regard

2) less flights

3) Planes are slower compared to the IJN counter parts

4) slow plane turn over rate

5) slow torps

IJN

Pros

1) Lots of flights

2) Fast planes

3) More tactical options

4) access to 2 torp squad early

5) Fast plane turn over rate

6) fast torps

7) can do anything with any loadout (can strike and contend air)

Cons

1) fighters inferior to the usn in 1 on 1 encounters

2) less planes per squad

3) piss poor torp spread

4) DB are even more bad on the IJN side

5) The USN cvs can strike better than you should they have the loadout and they can take the air better than you.
