I've been having issues when i go into combat of my frame rates dropping from 45-60 down to 5-15, especially when I fire torps. Also the sound gets very choppy. I thought that this could be due to playing on an external HD, so i bought an SSD internal and installed it. The issue remains. Specs are: i5-2400 @3.10 Ghz 8 Gigs Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 Any thoughts would be a great help. Thanks!

There's a program that you can get for free for games called game booster. It shuts down all unnecessary background programs to give your game all resources available. I've used it in the past. It works pretty well. It might just find your problem. And it is free.

Was playing just fine at 70 fps then about 3 mins into the game I drop down to 9-12 fps. Game stayed like this until the moment my ship was destroyed and then it jumped back up to 70 fps. Checked replay and even there the game did the same thing. i5 4590 3.30 ghz 8 gigs of ram GTX 970 Samsung SSD Windows 10 Edited October 8, 2015 by NargilFenris
