in my opinion, that's less of an accomplishment and more of an embarrassment

Yeah, I've had my fair share of those matches, where I shoot some 60 torps and none of them hit.

I don't even get a chance to use my guns, because the cruisers are actually escorting their BBs.

 

Such is the life of T6/7 IJN DDs.

It was one of those two cap domination matches. I was running around the edge looking for their CV. All I found was their planes (shot down 7 Ftr, 3 TB). Meanwhile the team managed to lose our base for an auto loss on points. The embarassment is theirs.

I find it funny you shot down planes in a IJN dd...

Had games like that.  Lately, seems all to often RNGesus gives me the Shleprock Slap.  Then I declare my birth right.....I am king of the 1020 damage hits and 0 damage pens .   Had games were I just get into range of firing and then BOOOOM....detonation  .    When I start having bad luck with pens.....I switch to HE and switch back once RNGesus accepts my sacrifice of a full cup of cold coffee on my desk.

How is failing at basic DD play to try and chase a CV 'the lighter side of the game'? You basically wasted your DD and blame the team for your own failure. GG, WP.

I hate that ship.. I am really having a hard time doing anything in it and am ready to just drop the IJN DD line because of it.

And people complain about the AA on a DD. In this thread we have both IJN and USN DDs in double figures.

was obviously a lower tier or possibly equal tier CV  because if it was Higher tier, he could park his worst planes over you and you would be powerless.
